Making a Starcraft 2 Race Choosing Quiz

Tristan Canada566 Posts July 10 2010 16:50 GMT #1 IGN put out a pretty lame personality quiz for choosing a race for SC2. I thought it was a tad dumb, but it reinforced an idea I've been playing around with since seeing that enrollment exam for the SC2 release event. I wanted to make a semi-serious tool that a new-ish player could fill out to find a race that best fits their play-style. However, I am not the end all be all authority on Starcraft and while I will likely make a thread in the SC2 forums when a beta version of the test is complete. I made this blog post to talk a little about the quiz and also generate from the community some census on what exactly makes the races feel unique. Through the show I have some friends who are progamers and I will be talking to them as well, but I really want to make sure I don't miss anything. I also want to maker sure the test works for all players and not just top top tier players. (example: some people might like Protoss or Terran over Zerg because the macro mechanics have a little bit of breathing room. Something most progamers might not care too much about.)

lac29 United States1485 Posts July 10 2010 16:52 GMT #2 I definitely think that this could be helpful for new players by allowing them to tell a quiz what style they are or want to play and being give the race that best fits that style.
