If you haven't played Disgaea, pick it up. It's absolutely incredible and no matter how many people recommend it in this thread, it can't be recommended enough so I'll 100th this recommendation Puzzle Quest is surprisingly addictive. It's like a puzzle game with RPG elements in it. Kinda cool concept and really fun Phoenix Wright is a must. Don't ask, just get it and play it Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey is a really good dungeon crawler with demons and stuff. Super fun and is kinda challenging On the SMT note, there's Devil Survivor, a strategy RPG with demons, demon fusions and craziness Professor Layton (I believe it has 2 games in the series) is a nice puzzle game Contra 4 is my personal fav on the system. Not everyone's cup of tea, and you pretty much have already decided before playing the game whether or not you like it. It's Contra

I played all three NDS Castlevania, and Dawn of Sorrow is the only one which I only played through once because I tend to fall asleep playing it. I find Dawn of Sorrow's strategies to be extremely narrow. All I needed was a throwing weapon and the Skelerang soul to beat absolutely everything. After beating Abbadon it's even easier because Abbadon gives a Bullet soul that hits pretty much the entire screen for massive damage and there are almost no enemies that can resist it (plus it costs only a tiny amount of mana so you can spam it easily). It's soooooooooooo easy. While similar spells also exist in Portrait of Ruin, Charolette has to recite the mantra (takes a couple of seconds for the most powerful ones) for casting any spells; during this process she is completely vulnerable and the spell is cancelled if she takes damage. There does not exist a spell similar to Abbadon in DoS that hits the entire screen and works on every single enemy in the game.
