So i recently finally got my laptop hooked up with my TV. Now i need a good tv show to watch on it
I noticed there are quite some posts / blogs about this subject already. So i figured you guys know a bit about tv shows. Would anyone mind helping me out with a few questions?
I watched 5 episodes of Stargate Atlantis and quite liked it. Though i did notice that this serie already ended as season 5 is the last. Will it keep being good? And is the end good?
Also been meaning to watch Firefly but this serie got cancelled. Anyone recommends watching this serie? Same goes for The 4400 really, is it any good?
I did watch all episodes of Supernatural and Fringe already. Got any recommendations for other series based on those 2?
Thank you TL.netizens!
Edit: Have to try Breaking bad out when i get home (mental note ) Also Flash Forward
|
Have you watched all of Stargate SG1? Because you should watch ALL of them they are good all the way to the end. Then Stargate Atlantis, of course its not neccesary to watch SG1 first but the storyline flows together very nicely, not to mention its fun watching 'special effects' of the late 90s/early 00's

take a break from spaceships and ghosts
go with breaking bad

Here is a tier list of tv series:
top tier: Star Trek: The Next Generation
bottom tier: Everything else ever made

i did watch quite a few episodes of SG1 on normal TV. Sadly it wasnt in any order so i just watched a few random episodes Also ranging from different seasons.
I do know the storyline about it tho. Figured SG:A would be nice to start with because i wouldnt run into the fact that i already have some of the storyline spoiled.

If you're into SF, SG-A is good. There are some dull episodes, and ultimately the enemy is always the Wraiths but overall if you liked SG1 you'll probably enjoy SG-A too. I don't want to spoil you the ending, but it's very predictable, no shocks no thrillers no twists. It ties up the story well, but it kinda leaves you thinking "there should have been more to this". I guess that's only natural since the show was cut at season 5 when there were plans for more seasons but no budget.

1) Lie to Me - Entertaining and light 2) Penn and Teller Bullshit - Funny, informative and controversal 3) Mythbusters - Why not? 4) Burn Notice - Excellent 5) House - although i would stop watching after season 3 6) New futurama (and old if you haven't seen it before) 7) Battlestar Galactica (I personally didn't like it, but I know how great it is for people who are into that) 8) 24 - I'm Jack Bauer, and this is the most awesome hour of your life. 9) Flash Forward - Wow. It dies in the middle, then picks back up after its christmas break. Has a stellar finish. It follows the book it was based off but has a slightly different ending, if you have already read it you should definitely watch the TV series 10) Dexter - Um, YES. 11) Day9 daily
Theres many more and it would just keep going on and on lol

I actually watched all episodes of House already. It's an awesome show tbh!
And gonna try Flash forward, looks really good. To bad it got cancelled after the first season though

Stargate Atlantis was really fun for me. I would consider watching all 5 seasons again in the far future.
|
The first two season of BattleStar Galactica were epic. the last two sucked balls.
I recommend you watch defying gravity if you like SCI FI shows. Kings is another niche show that i've watched but got cancelled :/ WEED is a real funny satirical comedy with a hot milf in it.
And HBO series, the wire, Rome, True Blood, Spartacus all excellent shows.

Flash forward was never going to continue, i would have liked to see more but the thing you must realise is that series 1 covers all of the book, suddenly you need to create more story, sure they could do it for the money (and alot of companies would) but i guess they wanted to stop on a high. Watch it!

Watched the first episode of that, have to say i wasn't that impressed Or does the story have to grow on you? In that case we'll just have to watch a few more haha.

A lot of people on this board would recomend Arrested Development, myself included! Its a comedy though. If you and your girlfriend want to have some good laughs chek it out. The show is brilliant. Canceled halfway through the third season for some terrible, terrible reason..

Been watching some SG:A now and it's goooood!
Also watched one episode of breaking bad and that's awesome also.
Thanks for all the advice!
