I like Lady Gaga. I also love metal to death. I'm interested to see how this plays out. The girl can actually sing, and if she tries to make it her own instead of sticking to the original, it might be pretty good.
I don't get it. She dresses as if she's Marylin Manson and at the same time her songs sound like Ace of Base. Covering Maiden? Fuck off, you shameless attention whore.
She is the biggest attention whore of the last decade. I can't see anything special about her music that diferenciates it from other mainstream artists. It's just this kind of news and the way she dresses that gets her to the spotlight. She isn't even hot or good looking like most female pop stars...
Not as mind-bendingly awful as My Chemical Romance making a cover of Desolation Row (quite possibly the worst cover of all time), or Jonas Brothers of Hello Goodbye, but still... It's not that I hate Lady Gaga outright or worship Maiden, but I just don't see it ever becoming good.

Eh, I think she's definitely among the better in mainstream music. But that's like being really good at math compared to 5 year-olds.
I believe this has happened with every pop star ever. They blow up, everybody loves them, everyone sane hates them, they make 4ish albums, they disappear after 3-6 years, and the proceeds to make random appearances in the news afterward when the sane people look back and think they're music wasn't that bad compared to the new pop star's trash.
also I don't understand all this love for Run to the Hills. It's on the same album as fucking HALLOWED BE THY NAME, 22 Acacia Ave and somehow it gets more credit
Not only will she ruin the song, but she's going to ruin Maiden for me. haha.
What I don't understand though is how can anyone like such a shallow attention whore, who's music has no substance, and videos are just retarded attempts at being deep and brooding?
