I want to ask you something, but first a little backstory(this is really not interesting, but beta is down, so... )
I've been playing games my whole life. My earliest memories are playing NES with friends and playing on Windows 3.11 and SkiFree on Windows 95. I always loved playing, but my parents wouldn't buy a NES(and SNES when that came out) so I ended up going to "friends" all the time just to play. After a while I started to save money to buy a SNES, but just as I had enough money, the Nintendo 64 was announced, so I waited for it and bought it. When it came out, I didn't have money for a game, so I just bought the console and just sat around and stared at it The Nintendo 64 was my first console. To be a little on-topic, I got StarCraft during the summer of '98, when a friend burnt it to me. Downloading weren't an option back then, I didn't even have internet, and those who had internet had 28kbps-connections that were way to slow to download a game. The Half-Life series(or at that time, the first game) also blew my mind. I grew up in a small place where I couldn't really relate to anyone, so I would spend 90% of my spare time playing, the rest of the time I would go snowboarding and riding bmx, but mostly I did this because my mother denied me to play any more Nintendo and PC
Even though I spent most of my time playing games, I would always listen to music, and music was really important for me, therefore I moved and went to study music when I was 16. Because I hadn't played any instruments before that(or, VERY little guitar, just to learn two chords or something), I felt that I had to practise all the time, and I didn't have time to play Nintendo and PC. After the three years of studying music I had a year at a folk college, where I toured Norway playing jazz, went to the Gambia to learn gambian folk music, and just generally doing alot of fun things. Even though I've been busy with music the last years, I've still WANTED to play, and since I've been playing gigs, I've had enough money to buy all the current consoles, a NES, SNES and a DS, I've just not had time to play! So, last year I realized that I had very many games, but I really hadn't played through any of them, and generally haven't played much, so I set up a Backloggery account and started playing through the games I had. Well, this autumn I will be very busy again, and I plan to only play StarCraft 2 and Super Mario Galaxy 2, so I hope to beat the last games I haven't played through before August 20th.
I have 6 hours to play games every day, and here is the games I will try to play through before August 20th: http://backloggery.com/games.php?user=arnstein&status=1&console=
I've just beat the first boss on Metroid Prime, I'm on the first mission on the second island on GTA3, and have done the Ugga-bugga-chapter on Conker's Bad Fur Day!
Edit: I realize now that this turned out to be a badly written "story of my gaming-life", and was a HUGE digression from the question
Edit 2: I forgot the question, lol :p the question is: Do you think I will be able to play through all those games before August 20th?

I CANNOT FIND YOUR QUESTION also I've just been playing Borderlands like 5 hours a day for the past 5 days
|
Haha, I forgot it, but updated now
|
oh the bee boss! NOICE that boss pissed me off x.x
you can def beat metroid by august, should only take you a few days, unless you're bad at metroidvanias in general
|
Let me just say that playing through four different GTAs is going to take a really, really long time.
I spent a whole summer trying to max out Vice City on its own, and San Andreas and IV just add sooo much more stuff, it's almost like a single player MMORPG. There are timesinks everywhere.

Playing games is cool, but 6 hours everyday for 2 months?

A few days per game? I thought they were loooong!
Yeah, I've heard that the GTA games are really long, but hopefully good too! I like GTA III very much!
6 hours every day for 2 months isn't too bad, is it? I also work out one hour, and ride bmx several hour(depending on how much I work that day)
|
You'd be able to do that if you left out 2 of the GTAs, but I don't think all 3 will be possible, unless you're only planning on completing the main "story" parts of each game.
|
GTA takes a long time. Other games shouldn't be too bad.
|
I feel tired of gaming already. Finished Mass Effect 2 in 2 days, Splinter Cell Conviction in 2, did the Dawn of War 2 + Expansion in one day after finishing expansion once in 1.5 day... Now I`ll go outside and do something involving sun, music and alcohol for the rest of the summer

you need chrono Trigger and Chrono cross on that list
GTA has no place there if those 2 are not. Even if you already played them... re-play
|
I actually played Chrono Trigger on DS last year while touring! I can't drive, so I never had to, so I was playing Chrono Trigger all the time :p I have 4 endings so far, will get all of them the next time I'm traveling will add it to the list soon! I will wait with Chrono Cross till it comes out on PSN, so I can play it on my PSP!

Ah that's alright then... you can always emulate Cross instead ofw aiting. PSX emulation is kinda hard though
|
Yeah, but I have enough games to play now and when I'm done with them, I will focus on Super Mario Galaxy 2, then possibly just play StarCraft 2!

EDIT : if you play at a dialgent pace you can beat War3 TFt/ROC in 2-3 days pretty easy, they arent hard games but some of the missions can tak ea bit
|
It's first time on Metroid for me, so will probably take forever
Thought War3 took ages as well, guess I was wrong :p

the last level for undead (TFT) was pretty hard too.
and metroid yeah if you dont use a guide(not sure if youw ill) you can get stuck fairly easy at alot of points

I want to update this one. My vacation is finished soon, and I won't have that much time playing anymore.
Here's the updated Backloggery link: http://backloggery.com/games.php?user=arnstein&status=1&console=
By the end of this vacation I will, of the remaining games, have beaten Super Mario Galaxy 2(but not completed it), WC3, Metroid Prime 1 and GTA3.
