I have no idea what so no fek is talking about. You aren't going to get in trouble for a blog that is all youtube videos with one line saying "here's some cool vids". It's your blog, not the general section.

The obvious no racism/etc "don't do" rules apply, but any need for good posting goes out the window when you get to the blog section. I have no idea what so no fek is talking about. It needs to be interesting, now just a bunch of links copied and pasted, if there isn't anything to read, then its not worth reading.

Then it won't be read. There's a difference between getting a temp ban and writing a blog nobody will read. You really think people are going to get banned for blogs that people don't find interesting enough?

You really think people are going to get banned for blogs that people don't find interesting enough? Blog section is clearly moderated less strictly than a regular forum. But we still have to remove spam and no-content blogs because they push down real content on the left side blog section, which displays by date and not by reply. I don't think people get banned for blogs unless they repeatedly spam or their content is extremely objectionable.

Highly unlikely you'll be banned for it, but there's a fairly good chance the blog will be closed, as is the case here. He posted a couple of youtube videos with a sentence or two and the blog was closed. Also, I'd like to point out that I never mentioned being banned for it; you added that yourself. You're right in saying it's unlikely someone will be banned for posting a couple of videos with no content (though I'm sure it has happened), but that doesn't mean the mods will allow the blog to stay open.

Early in the blog system's history there was some staff who would warn people instead of close blogs if they didn't think the blogs were good :p

- If you are posting something that is going to help someone else (via tips or spreading of information), then post it in the forum. - If you are posting something about yourself (either a story about yourself or getting help for yourself), then post it in blogs. There isn't this separation of "blogs are for garbage", which is a mentality I'm trying to change.
