For years my old man would always have us kids help out on summer weekends cleaning and waxing his vehicles - he was fanatic about it, keen on keeping them well protected and in good condition.

So I had a nice overcast day today to carry on the tradition and give my own car her first summer wax. Did a good wash, rinse, and dry and tried out Meguiar's NXT 2.0 Tech Wax. I'd heard good things about it - some even saying it's better than Zaino! While I don't exactly know about that (car nuts will know Zaino!) I wasn't being quite fanatic myself - I just wanted a good wax and this seemed like an interesting one to try.

Well, I've put on a lot of different waxes in my day and this one is definitely special. Goes on quick and easy, buffs out beautifully, and the finish is like POP! Anyone who's not a total detailing fanatic but wants a quality, easy, and great looking wax for their car, I can't recommend it enough. It even smells great.

I bought a tin at Canadian Tire for $30, but barely used any of it. I'm sure you could wax 20 cars with a can of the stuff.

Damn it looks brand new, maybe even better its so shiny.

And thats really cheap too, perhaps I should wax my car...

Definitely better than when it was brand new. I'd just had it on a road trip a couple weekends ago too - 700km both ways through spring insect-infested forests the whole way, then down dirt roads and all kinds of other horrible stuff. It came back to the city looking like a pile of garbage, lol. Splattered with bugs, covered in grit and dust and pollen...it was painful. I decided then and there that I needed to wax this thing before it took any more of a beating. Two weeks later, I actually got off my ass and did it, haha.

wow that looks beautiful. Don't take it anywhere near Brighton England because it will be shat on by a seagull faster than you can say 'cor blimey guvna'

lol, yeah, mate, I lived in London for almost five years and spent a goodly amount of time in Brighton. One of my housemates was actually from Littlehampton so he was back and forth to the coast a fair bit. The fried doughnuts at the pier are delicious but, aye, the seagulls are bloody piss takers. Gotta watch for the bastards here as well... I'm going to have to stop parking under the trees at work too, shitting birds everywhere, lol.
