Crocs Nigga
There I was... Pearl Street - Boulder, Colorado. The home of the Croc when I decided to wonder inside the local Croc store. (That's right... It's out there.) Little did I know what awaited me inside...
Ugly Fucking Shoes
At this point, coast to coast in America everybody's seen Crocs. They were a hit. A major hit. However, as most fads do, this particular hit went up then crashed and burned. Almost as soon as Crocs went public their stock took a huge plunge into near bankruptcy. It's no surprise. Once you had a pair of Crocs you were set... You didn't need another one. Especially for style. Here's a Croc.

The thing is these shoes, as horrible as they look, are kind of the most comfortable thing for your feet. Ever. Shoes are to Crocs as Lovesacs are to chairs.

Crocs managed to pull themselves out of a dive by diversifying their product line. Now there are all sorts of Crocs. Big ones, little ones, green ones, pink ones. They even have high heel'd Crocs which claim to be as comfortable as the real thing. (They left "the real thing" ambiguous on purpose I think.)

No, this isn't an ad for Crocs. This is what you've been waiting for and I don't think you're prepared. I've, not until today, ever owned a pair of Crocs. I just couldn't get myself to spend $40 on boat shoes that were bright colors, but that's all changed. You see Crocs decided to do a line for the world cup...

I used to work for Crocs about a year ago. Probably the most unorganized company I've ever worked for, but it was fun going to AVP tournaments and getting paid to watch Jose Cuervo girls all day long. Off the record, it costs about $10 to make these shitty shoes, and they charge about $35-40 for the model you have (Beaches IIRC)
Edit : It does start to smell like old ass if you wear them without socks and if your feet start to perspire. However you can just hose them down cause they're waterproof. I promised myself never to talk about Crocs when I left, I feel like an ass right now.
