Ever since I brought a 800w BFG PSU 2 years ago, I've had to send it back four fucking times. Actually could've been more but after the second and third time I gave up on it and sticked with my old shitty cheap PSU for a while until I decide it's time to get a replacement. (lifetime warranty ftw) but that don't mean shit if the fancy BFG PSU keeps dying after a week or two. First time it took around 3 months. Second time, dies after 1 month. Third time.. 3 weeks? Now.. 1 week. One fucking week it dies already. I know it is the PSU itself because I always test with the old shitty PSU and the comp boots up just perfectly fine.

What is this shit? I shut down the pc and it REFUSES to boot up unless I use a different PSU.

What the fuck does BFG do, take broken PSUs from other customers who sends it back, does a half ass job fixing it then sends it to me? That's what it seems. The only thing BFG covers is sending it to ME. If I send it to THEM, I gotta pay shipping. Doing this several times adds up.

Anyone ever experience this?

My onewold little ass 480w PSU with limited connections beats four expensive BFG 800w PSU.

BFG psu's suck. I have no idea where they got the reputation as an acceptable manufacturer of power supplies. Their AIB's are also fairly low quality.
Stick with big name power supplies if you've got the budget for it, because even if something does go wrong you'll get better customer from say, Antec then you will from BFG (although Antec PSU's carry a premium about as big as Apple's)

It's pissing me off =[ guess no more SC2b for a while (don't really want to use that old 480w PSU with a 8800gt) unless yall think that would be fine for a while till I get a new one.

Sighs.

I had an Enermax Pro82+ 625W PSU..

It died on me after a month and a half..

When I brought it back to the store, they said their initial 30 day instore warranty was over so they couldn't do anything about it but they said that I still had the Enermax warranty. So I had to send in the PSU through the store and through their distributor.. LOL Everything took about 2-3 months.

Wtf am I supposed to do for those 2-3 months? Of course they wouldn't send me a temporary one while they fixed mine, so I had to basically just buy another PSU.

The point of my story is PSUs are damn important, don't cheap out and just get the best one you can afford and that fits your pc. Also.. BFG is usually a good company but if they kept sending you rejects, then that is pure bullshit.

Enermax apparently actually sent me a brand new PSU because they couldn't fix mine. They sent me a new one all wrapped up and stuff through the store. Anyway, I sold it once I got it thought cuz I already had another PSU.

So I complained to them on the phone today and in a sec they sent me a new RMA with everything prepaid for so all I gotta do is just slap the thing on a box and drop it off at the local P.O.

If the next PSU I receive does the same damn thing, you know I'm done with that shit. They're not very good at refurbishing things =/

good post jjun212, at least you have a backup. I do but I don't want my vcard to laugh to death after I put in the little thing.
