I have been thinking whether to pre-order SC2, seeing as the release is soon, or to wait until (if ever) they fix some issues that are bothering me. I am mostly happy with the multi-player part, though it still has a long way to go, however the so-called b.net "2.0" is a huge let-down. My problems with it are the usual: no LAN, locked regions, community segregation, requirement to be online even to watch replays, ranking that makes little sense, no online replays, etc.
On the other hand, I suppose the signle-player campaign itself should be worth the price.
What about you? Are you planning to buy SC2 on release?

[x] Yes, cause everybody will play this game. if no one would play it, i would play sc1 again.

Yes. I don't really like the multi-player yet but I will buy it just to play my friends.

Nope. I've barely touched the beta; I doubt that will change much if I drop 60 bucks on the actual game. Personally, I don't think Sc2 has much more depth than a Command and Conquer game does.

Pre-Ordered aaaawwwwwwww yeah

Are there really people in this community who would not buy SC2? I get the feeling that all the people who hate on it (legitimately or not) are going to buy it anyway. I mean, come on, it's starcraft. Probably the people who voted 'no' don't actually mean it.

This is so true, I'm not surprised that there are die hard fans of SC that won't buy SC2, most people would say "its not SC1", but regardless of whatever reason people choose to support SC2, if they don't like SC2, they won't play it. Right now I really dig it as a spectater sport, its not that bad to look at and a lot of the commentaters are really funny and informative, but i can definitely see why people are already getting bored of it.

the games awesome, its not for everyone, and blizzards trying to give as many people as they can what they want
the sc1 "elitists" that won't play sc2 are the extreme minority
the majority of people that are going to be playing sc2 will still think its too hard.
|
i will buy sc2 for the ums! :D
but i will stick to sc1 for 1v1
|
I'm going to buy it (haven't had to yet), but I do agree, there are some things I don't like (locked regions, lack of LAN, etc). I'm also going to dl a cracked version with LAN, once it becomes available. Not all internet connections can handle multiple copies of the game running through the same connection.....
