i doubt anything will happen
they'd watch the replay and realize it was some guy that was just an angry sore loser
i'm also assuming what you've said is what happened since i'm at a school computer lab and can't watch the rep atm

I remember when I played Warcraft 3 I was very found of using Shades (an invisible scout; kind of like an observer but you can't even see the blur) to scout so I could attack my opponent when he was most vulnerable. About 3/4 times my opponent would accuse me of cheating, but I never get banned. Most of the time, I think, my opponent was just angry and felt like lashing out.
The reality is, I honestly do not think Blizzard will ban you. Typically they ban people based on some kind of systematic detection of cheating devices, such as public maphacks. Examining replays case-by-case is simply too time-consuming and generates too much bias - I honestly doubt they'd do that except in extreme cases.

Just say "watch replay from my perspective t.t" and that's all you can do I guess. I really doubt blizz just bans everyone who is reported since there are dumb people out there.

The guy is a big baby. Just because he threatens to report you does not mean he will. He just wants redemption for the pain you caused him. I can already see that you are terrified, and thus his plan was a success.

Haha, nothing new. This happens all the time. Just the other day I ran into some guy who I completely crushed in a TvT. He went on crying about how I was map hacking and that I was mirroring everything he did (even though I'm Terran and have scan). Then he went onto threaten me by reporting me. I just laughed at him and typed "you have bad gg timing"
Nothing you can do. Just laugh it off, as kids these days can be complete morons.

Nothing will happen lol. Never listen to anyone who says anything like this, blizzards hack prevention methods aren't based on player reports at all from my experience and more based on detection anyway.

There is no need to worry at all. I've also been told that i've been 'reported' but nothing has happened. Is there even a reliable way to 'report' someone? I haven't taken the time to look.

I've been accused of hacking in sc1/2 many times and most of the time they say they are gonna report me... just laugh it off haha

Blizzard's support staff is possibly the best support staff out of any game. They will make a reasonable judgement so you won't be banned.

I just got called a 'wc3 noob' by some zerg cause i went 1 reaper -> 1 hellion -> 1 banshee -> 1 thor into mass MMM and destroyed him lol

Has reporting actually done anything to anyone?
In fact has Blizzard taken notice of any posted evidence of maphacking or other abuse?

It happens that when I'm raging after a loss, I accuse the other player of hacking and sending the replay to blizzard etc., but obviously I'm just trolling ... sometimes they start to explain me in detail how they scouted what I was doing and that they never hack -.- makes me feel bad because they take it serious lol.

Blizzard isn't going to blindly ban anyone. Imagine if anyone could report someone just because they lost and get someone banned. Blizzard investigates.
BTW, when are we gonna play our games?

most of my builds in sc2 aren't planned out so I tend to try out a lot of random things as I go along

WRONG! I chortled to myself when I saw your bunker--already completed. It was one of those shake your head and smile moments. And when I said I'd never played against that before it wasn't the bunker rush, it was the hellion>banshee. Ironically the very next guy the guy did the same thing. Rips hydras to pieces . BTW you broke like an 11 game winning streak for me (minus two frustrating disconnects because my modem sucks and my landlord refuses to fix it)

It happens in every online competitive game (as opposed to co-op). God knows how many times I've been accused of hacking in DotA. If someone was serious about you hacking, they rarely straight up say it during the game. They'll spec you or watch (and/or analyze) the replay. His response was knee-jerk and you really don't have a worry.

I use hellion -> banshee a lot in my TvZs. Then I'm allowed to transition to all sorts of stuff (read: marauder medivac)
On a side note, has anyone noticed a huge amount of bm lately? When I first got beta, everyone was so friendly, chatting away -- and now at the end of every game I'm getting some weird stuff like "oh you're pathetic", "wow you're so lucky you noob", etc.

Haha, a few days ago I accidentally scouted a proxy barracks, an inbase (at 3th) factory and a sneak expansion with lings and overlords. The guy was all like maphack!

I like the hellion banshee build. I'm gonna have to learn to fight it because standard roach/hydra is not the thing to do. Should be fun!
Anyway, yeah I'm completely with you. When I first played beta everyone was like super manner I was so impressed and lately it's been not as much. I mean, yeah, most games are still manner or neutral but when I first played there was hardly a game where a guy got all defensive and bm in the end.

For me, most people are still pretty manner..haven't really had many people just straight out bm me, though protoss players seem to get really angry when I build reapers. Other than that, most people seem pretty cool about things, though I do get the occasional "lift off and kill me" response.

Don't worry about it, this is very normal. And you really can't do anything till you get banned, and that's when you e-mail the support making your case. But that won't happen.
All he did was rage, and out of rage he called you hacker because he's a sore loser and a noob at the game. Now when he said he was gonna report you, he was probably only saying hoping it would freak you out. Mission complished I assume.
Back in iCCup people would sometimes get BM me, start calling me names, wishing me dead etc. Knowing the rules I just respond calmly, but I also say ''I hope you enjoy your ban'', some people just laugh, some people leave instantly, some people start freaking out. Sometimes the result was hilarious for example this one dude started to lie and tried to convince me that he's a GM. Didn't go to well. Of course I won't report them for being BM because it's not worth my effort, but I love messing with them.
Anyways, no worries.

the USA beta is chalk full of 13-16yr old WoW retards who are hellbent of flaming the crap out of anyone that beats them. I have come across at least 20-30 people that have gone off the deep end when losing, and just completely make a fool of themselves in the game chat.
