It's decent, although it's pretty stereotypical mainstream metal. Need to work on the guitar riffs though, the pinches are just annoying, the singing is a bit boring, and the screams are meh.

Good attempt, but your playing the most mainstream kind of metal, and attempting to break into that scene and make a name for yourself will be hard, especially considering that core-ish bands will be dying out real soon.

What makes you say this? I listen to metal, melodeath and some core-ish stuff, but I'm no expert on the scene.

It's just getting to the point that the market is getting so saturated with this type of music that it just seems inevitable that there'll either be a backlash or it'll simply die out/fade to relative obscurity soon. I'm not an expert on this particular scene either, but it's happened often enough to other genres/scenes that it's fairly predictable.

Edit: oh, but to stay on topic, awesome song. Always been a fan of your instrumentals since you started blogging them here. Good vocals (especially screams) too although your lyrics tend to be kind of...meh, no offense.

i mean, the production quality is nice. the structure, riffs, and blast beats are all pretty trite though.
i would recommend alternating time signatures and maybe an alternate tuning.

I'm going to try and keep this as constructive as possible. The recording quality is good but the sound is so cliche. It sounds like you're trying to jump on the singing/screaming mainstream bandwagon a little too hard. Which is fine, but you don't add anything new or exciting to the genre. It's already an extremely played out sound, so unless you do it extremely well you, aren't going to stand out.

Here are two bands that pretty much perfected the genre. I suggest you check them out.

7 Angels 7 Plagues (listen to this for the drums and guitars)

Hopesfall (intense vocals, melodic guitar)

I loved all the old Medal of Honors, but this just looks like MWF2 which I hate. I hope they stay true to the medal of honor feel.

Haha me and a friend wrote / recorded this song in 2 hours. We weren't looking to break new ground, we just wanted to make a fun little ditty for shits and giggles and I thought it was worth sharing because it turned out better than we expected. Appreciate the criticisms though!

Oh, I'm not trying to insult you or your friend, I just think that if your going to try to get serious with your band, you should change your sound up a bit, try some originality, because core/disturbed style bands are so cliche nowadays, and sooner or later they will go the way of Nu-Metal, even though I do enjoy quite a bit of core bands, I know only a few will really last.
