Microsoft Access... who uses it? ...betaoffer...

Aside from the fact that it's neglected by most people I know, there's very little to refer for help when trying to accomplish specific tasks that I've had to put up with for this program (especially queries... I just don't get how to do those at all). So here's the deal: On top of the beta I got from Sakoulaki today (you're awesome btw), I acquired yet another key from a friend who knew I was into the whole SC scene. I'm offering this extra key for YOUR guidance and skills in microsoft access. So far, I've been scratching my head over vague instructions over the little help button and google instructions. For anyone who needs a beta and has skills in access, please let me know! EDIT: Key Given. Yea, I know Access is a useless program, but I have to get through it. Thanks for the feedbacks!

And we are doing Access right now and I'm about 6 lessons ahead because the teacher teaches like everyone is in Kindygarten -.- I'm only taking it as a pre-req for other classes but I can definitely help, I have a 100 ^_^

Adeny Norway1233 Posts May 05 2010 01:16 GMT #4 I might be able to help, if you post specific questions here, what are you trying to achieve? I've already got a beta-key, so don't waste it on me. That said, unless you have a VERY, VERY, specific reason for using MS Access, you should go with the alternatives, namely MySQL.

Tutore United States48 Posts May 05 2010 01:31 GMT #8 it basically helps you organize things but it allows you to sort for only certain things such as first/last name, street address and that stuff....it pretty much is able to sort whatever you put into your original table he has to use it for a assignment

The average desktop user has 0 need for managing databases, while more tech savvy people simply aren't reliant on Microsoft Office to get their work done - or they use alternative software. You're most likely to see it in use with small businesses (people with a basic education in desktop productivity software and little interest in alternatives) or stuffy old companies that have failed to modernize. It belongs in a High School curriculum of basic Office productivity (along with word processor and spreadsheet technology and other nooby stuff), but without the overt product placement.
