Image: Tell us about yourself, your teammates and how you selected them.

deL: I am deL and am an admin in the clan as promoted by founder Scarecrow, I am also organising the upcoming SC2 team for Terror Australis. My teammates are Queensland B-Team SoO premier's LoSt, notorious for his domination of that tournament, Scaramanga - a fellow KT fanatic and cheeser, and also e-friend, and Image the swing dancing, DJing, aerials-performing curling-enthusiast from Quebec. I picked team members based on who was most likely to pester me with captain interviews. But seriously, I just picked based on e-friend levels.

Image: What are your expectations for your team's results in this inaugural clan proleague

deL: I am confident that all teams have the potential to take the title, and am happy with how the first week's lineups panned out, but have no prior expectations other than wanting to have fun and getting a few cheeky wins while doing so. However, I am confident that all my charges will step up on game day and make me proud with some creative cheese. Best-of-one ftw.

Image: How is your team going about preparing for their matches?

deL:


Image: Week 1 lineups have just been announced. What are your predictions, and why do you think that's how it's going to go down?

deL: I already posted my predictions here, though some were more hopeful than realistic. However I think there are no real clan 'bonjwas' aside from Smace and LoSt when he is in top form so anyone can take almost any one else out on the day. I really like the BO1 format as it compliments the level of competition and makes each team member valuable. I expect many matches to go to ace for this reason and that's where the top teams will distinguish themselves by having a bit of depth in ACE choice (not just one predictable player who can be sniped).

Image: Some people outside the clan are going to be following this event. Why should they become fans of your team, and what would you say to your existing fans?

deL: It has the best name, most charismatic captain, most personality and hands down the best commentator. The only existing fans I am likely to have are cash prize winners from the SC2 tourney so to them I say UPCOMING [TA] SC2 CLAN GOGOGO. To others following the clan shenanigans I hope you can take something out of it and get some entertainment getting to see players at lower ranks - and I am sorry it's Australians only but feel free to hang out in op [TA] with us.

Image: Tell us about yourself, your teammates and how you selected them.

Scarecrow: I’m Scarecrow aka Sotanath, founder of TA and former SoO B-team Captain. Currently at Uni and unsuccessfully trying to juggle ICCup with study. Three progamers have my scalp and I’m looking to add to the tally (NaDa, herO[jOin] & Legionaire). My teammates are Lkori (solid C- zerg), his mate flukeh (D+ Terran) and Chogoling (D Zerg). I knew lkori and chogo pretty well through SoO so wanted them on board.

Image: What are your expectations for your team's results in this inaugural clan proleague

Scarecrow: Our results will largely depend on how well we prepare for our matches. I expect us to make the top half of the draw but I fear much will come down to ace match performances. We will work hard and try our best

Image: How is your team going about preparing for their matches?

Scarecrow: Liquipedia, replay mining and extensive theory crafting. Hopefully will get some actual practice in soon!

Scarecrow: I posted my predictions earlier and was glad to see so many interesting mu’s. Peak vs Nav148 and Jexie vs Toastfluff are mu’s to watch. I’m well aware of the relative strengths of our clan members so my predictions should destroy Del’s

Image: Some people outside the clan are going to be following this event. Why should they become fans of your team, and what would you say to your existing fans?

We have the manliest team with two out of the five terrans in the competition and a mentality of constant aggression. Our many existing fans should be patient, as we will work hard to give them the results they deserve. Thanks for the coverage!

With everyone's favourite girl [TA]Jexie captain of Additional Pylons

Image: Tell us about yourself, your teammates and how you selected them.

Jexie: I'm Jexie, or Jess. I play protoss and am in great need of doing a few more ladder games. My team consists of Cosmic, Lazz and Nav148 and I chose them because 1. They are all amazing skillwise, 2. We have a very good chance of going 4-0 against Smace and 3. I know all of them and they're really nice =)

Image: What are your expectations for your team's results in this inaugural clan proleague

Jexie: Well, considering our first round is against my teachers team, [TA]Smace, I think we have a very good chance. The match ups are all quite even and while I may not be able to surpass my teacher, it's okay cause I'm not versing him!

Image: How is your team going about preparing for their matches?

Jexie: Good question! Well so far I've had a few practice games against lazz and cosmic, just need to motivate everyone to learn their map and practice their match up!

Jexie:
Apart from the fact that we have Cosmic and three protoss players in our team, making us awesome, we're also the only team to have a girl so ;p Our existing fans (if any) should be getting ready to witness an amazing event this weekend to (hopefully) see us prevail over Burnt Toast.

Interview with the exceptionally average Smace

Tell us about yourself, your teammates and how you selected them.
I am Smace, average Protoss player and one of the earlier members of TA. I have played Starcraft since '98 but only followed it competitvely since the end of '08. My team consists of FluffyToast, Peak and DelsBoss. I made my choices pretty much based on the performances I've seen from these players, having played all three before, I know they are capable of pulling a win. And yes, I chose the name because of Fluffy

What are your expectations for your team's results in this inaugural clan proleague?
In the first round my team will be facing off against my disciple's team, [TA]Jexie. They say the student always surpasses the master, but not this time

How is your team going about preparing for their matches?
With the exception of myself and Peak, by being as inactive as possible!

Week 1 lineups have just been announced. What are your predictions, and why do you think that's how it's going to go down?
Storm Dodgers, Burnt Toast and Team Kick-ass are going to win this week, I feel as though they've hit the more favourable match ups. (Though Team Kick-Ass vs The Warrior Poets will be close!)

1) Hi I'm Harlekuin a C rank zerg (despite deL's opinions). I chose Noodle because he can, despite his rank, pull out some very high level play and has beaten all of the high rank players in the clan. I chose Hickz because of his monstrous zerg vs protoss, and I chose Crusade because he did the most awesome pvt build against me ever, hopefully he can come up with some more clutch builds for his match ups and cause some upsets.

2) Win by so much that the other teams will cry imba

3) practicing the match ups on the maps, and having builds ready

4) well there are 2 zvz's in out first lineup, which of course is very volatile and prone for upsets, Hickz is gonna win so hard that subversive will probably switch to terran, and I'm excited to see how Crusade does against Marine, because while Marine is probably the favourite, Crusade is the BO magician.

5) The reason fans should follow our team should become apparent after the first week has finished. Message to existing fans: sorry for that pathetic excuse of a showmatch T.T. 4-0d with scouts doesn't look good on anyones sc resume (props to smace)

Marine: I'm /Marine50 and I am a C- tvz/zvt/zvp player. I am an admin for our clan and love hanging around OP TA gaming with clan members!



Image: What are your expectations for your team's results in this inaugural clan proleague?

Marine: I'm expecting us to do pretty well. The team overall is strong. We have a good mix of vZerg players (Myself and Sanchez) and vProtoss/Terran players (Subversive and Zoro). However, we are not only restricted to those specific MU's as each team member is competent in all of their 3 MU's.

Marine: Practicing on their maps and focusing on BO.

Marine: Both Kick-Ass and Warriors possess great talent. Bo1 format is very interesting and makes skill differences shrink. Its a great opportunity for those players with potential to shine against the top clan members. Looking forward to some really good games.
