To each his own, but I look at the second picture you posted and just think "that man's clothes do not fit". I'm not going to advocate obnoxious, skin-tight jeans (which the first picture is bordering on, hard to tell because the wash is so dark) but I really believe that if you have several inches of extra material around your pant leg you are doing something wrong.
Just because we're men doesn't mean that it's acceptable for us to all dress like we are 40-50 pounds overweight. If you're tall or slender you should wear clothes that will make your good physique obvious, not hide it. That's good advice no matter your sex.
