Yeah, when I made the transition over to liquidpoker, I realized pretty quick its a different community from TL
Do your best to try to gain knowledge, don't claim you understand anything(because most likely you don't), and respect, well most, of the people that respond to your questions, no matter how harsh their response is. A lot of the people at LP have pretty dry humor, and it can be hard to catch onto. But remember, the people at LP are very good at the game, and have been with it for a while.
You can PM me here, or on LP for questions and such. I'm currently a winning 10NL player about to move up, so I can help you with most basics. I would give my aim/msn, but I never go on that stuff anymore

i like live poker lol i have no luck with online. i spent over 300 bucks on fulltilt+absolute poker and ultimate bet. i do better live but online is a great way to fix that poker addiction lol

I'm really interesting in playing poker. I enjoy watching High Stakes Poker online all the time. I'm pretty noob to poker (yes i understand rules, but basic strategy I lack in).

Oh this sounds cool. I'm a winner at 5NL, looking to improve and play higher stakes. Talking about strategy with people sounds like it'll help. NeVeR, do you have msn? I don't have AIM anymore or a microphone so I can't use Skype, though I'm hoping to get a microphone soon.

I find cash games preety hard for me started with 100$ bankroll but lost it all over a period of few months. I was kinda noob at poker and after started reading about the basics and started playing some MTT.
I started basicly from 0... won like 2$ on some freeroll and for the past 20 days i made it into 40$ grinding the 0.10c 360mans on pokerstars. Tried playing some cash games but went from +2$ to -8$ over a day so i stop cash games for good its just not my thing.
For now i wanna get more experience and when i get to 100$ gonna switch to 2.20$ tours. If you dont do good in cash just try tours for a while. Its preety good because you risk little and the profit is huge.

Anyone here play the double or nothings on PokerStars? I've been playing those a bit and it seems like $5 for a 30 min tourney is better than the cash games. I might add some of you guys on Skype if I get really into it.

I never feel i can beat the registration costs in those. I don't like turbos so on a 5 $ double or nothing you pay 40 cent. So in the end you have a chance to win 4:60 or loose 5:40. so you need over 65 procent winrate or something like that to become even.

Huh? ($4.60)*p + ($-5.40)*(1-p) = 0 --> p = 54%. Maybe I've just been having beginner's luck but I found that playing extremely tight in the lower stakes $5 tourneys is enough to get you in the top 5 much more often than 54%, ppl go all-in with like A9 offsuit all the time. :S
