I have a profound interest in any kind of art, whether that be music, theater, animation, or photography.
I have recently stumbled onto this natural phenomenon, which has absolutely BLOWN my mind. I hope you all find this as spectacular as I do!
The Dirty Thunderstorm -A dirty thunderstorm is a weather phenomenon that occurs when lightning is produced in a volcanic plume.
Added spoiler out of courtesy. Enjoy! + Show Spoiler +
Does anyone else find this as stunning as I do?

Wow, awesome.
I appreciate the find! Never heard of that before.

That is so sexy. Thanks for sharing. My first thought was of a PT team using Arclite Shock rounds and Psi Storms in the same region >.>

That is just truly incredible. Just when you think Earth can't surprise you any more, a lightning storm forms out of a volcanic plume.
That's just amazing, I'm sure it would be so incredibly intense to see in real life. The world is just awesome.

Wow, if I hadn't just googled to check I'd have said those photos were shopped...Looks unreal. Thanks for sharing.

And yeah, I feel the same way. Earth is so amazing, it will never, ever, cease to blow my mind. I was driving to my girlfriends house last night through the country, and I couldn't stop looking out the window and just admiring nature's beauty!

Stunning pictures, that looks so cool

interesting, i thought that these pics were fake when i first saw them, but i guess it makes a lot of sense for there to be a thunderstorm in a volcanic plum because of the ash in the air creating pathing and friction?

Ah, yes. Those last shots are from the Chaintén volcano in Chile. There's a bunch of amazing shots from that volcano. Take a look here: Boston.com article.

It's interesting how most things so beautifull are usually very dangerous. None the less, those are just awesome.
