They'd be just saving/investing it and keeping it under the table until later in life or something.

I don't doubt that it's possible, but just unlikely imo.

Jaedong and Stork were favored in each final. It doesn't make sense for him to be a part of this scam.

Flash so rarely loses, but then there were those 'no turrets wtf?' games. I doubt his parents, whose consent I assume he would have needed, would have agreed.

minors need their parents' consent to make illegal deals?

I mean how could he do it without them noticing, really.

How many illegal things did you do as a minor without your parents noticing?

None, especially none involving tens of thousands of dollars appearing in my bank account, or getting thousands of dollars worth of stuff without actually spending any money. I just think his parents would be keeping close 'tabs' on his bank account is all...

very wrong, people who only see short term gain and don't realize long term risks are the people who engage in this kind of behavior, and also the kind of people capable of doing something compulsive like spending it or stupidly putting it into their bank account which ultimately are the kinds of things that get people caught

it's funny with these kinds of things, once you do it once you are endebted to the people bribing you, because they can blackmail you into continuing to do it forever after that

anyways, i'm glad this is all happening now, before sc2 comes out. it's a definite wound to progaming but it will heal and make it stronger.

Ok personally I did highly illegal things as a youth, but I like that argument. His parents probably are managing his finance, so hypothetically if Flash was cheating his parents might have gone along with it. Still it isn't impossible for a kid to conceal large amounts of money if he has a decent head on his shoulders.

Now instead of people admitting that their favorite players are capable of *gasp* actually losing games, they'll say that those players merely threw them.

Ummm....it's really easy to conceal money. Hide it somewhere, or open a 2nd bank account with a different bank that your parents don't know about (that would still be retarded but I could see one of them doing it lolol)
