SCBW Resolution Problem

When I start SCBW it displays in a narrow box in the center of the screen. ("vertical letterboxing" I think is what it's called)
I've tried every fix I could find on teamliquid/gg/first 3 pages of Google and I can't fix the vertical black bars problem ;/ (Most peoples' problem is that they WANT the black bars, but I prefer playing the game stretched out, and my screen isn't big anyway)

Dell Inspiron Notebook 1545 15.6"
Windows 7 64 bit
Intel mobile integrated graphics ( 4 series)
1366x768 resolution
Drivers all up to date
Settings revert back to "Full Screen" once i start starcraft, when trying to use "Maintain Aspect Ratio"
No compatibility settings worked

Has anyone else come across this problem? No matter what I do I can't get my computer to just stretch the game all the way across

Well, you've probably already tried, but try unchecking the "Maintain Aspect Ratio" box, since this tells the graphics not to worry about maintaining correct image proportions (which is what you want, since your preferred "stretch" image is out of proportion).

Also keep in mind that, like you said, most people WANT the black bars there because that means the image is correctly proportioned; by all standards, then, your graphics are doing exactly what they should be. You're basically trying to force them into displaying out-of-proportion images.

On a side note, my brother had the reverse problem with his PC, and he also had integrated Intel graphics: he wanted the black bars to be there, but StarCraft would always display in full stretch on the screen (it would have the black bars on the desktop, but as soon as SC started, it would revert to full stretch mode; the opposite of what's happening with yours). Personally I think that the Intel integrated graphics either not powerful enough or compatible enough with SC to do exactly what you want them to; I'd like to think that this problem would go away if you had a higher-end graphics card that's better able to tweak and mess around with different graphics options. I'm not positive, though - someone else would know better than myself.

why would u want it to stretch? people have been trying to reverse that process.

i managed to get it to go full screen by switching to "Center Image" then starting SC, then minimizing, then putting it back to "Full Screen". I played 1 game vs the Computer to test it out and got BSOD at the end lol.

I never tried fixing the stretching thing on other computers and just got used to it, now it feels weird to play without it. Also on a 15.6`` display there isn`t much real estate so I want to use it all

Note: I found it difficult to adjust to scrolling further to move horizontally, then to move vertically.
