Arrrrgh why on earth did they change it from 10 matches to 5 matches? I really hope they changed the system so that you can bounce between divs more easily if they're only going to have 5 placement matches at release.

I went 3-2 in placements (one to a good terran, one to a zerg that baneling+ling rushed me) and got stuck in gold, im currently 11-3 in gold (8-1 since the placing...) and can see a lot of familiar platnum players in my division (tasteless for example).

Pretty much pure rant but yeah, wanted to vent, placing is now retarded.

edit: i was 5th in my plat div before reset.

Apparently the ranking system was improved in the patch, so it'll be easier to move up and down ranks.

What the fuck is the point of your posts exactly? Apart from random trolling? What are you trying to point out? The point of my op apart from a rant is to say the 5 placement system is dumb compared to the (also retarded, but at least less retarded) 10 placement system, and im hoping as another poster said the system has been altered so its no longer impossible to swap between divisions for the release... Or else its not at all un-reasonable for really good players to be put in gold and even silver and stuck there till however long it takes till they reset/re-adjust/whatever they plan on doing.

I don't know why people are complaining about getting stuck in leagues. I went 7-3 in my placement matches got put in gold, like 20 games later they bounced me up to plat cause I was winning a lot. Maybe I'm just really good or something, but its not hard to go up ranks.

Who cares what league you're in? Your hidden MMR determines who you play, not your league placements. You can play all the top platinums while sitting in bronze after a failed placement run.

yeah, i went 3-2 also and i'm in your division now. part of it's because we were playing during the wee morning hours, when basically everyone on is a hardcore ex-bw player. much harder games than normal i think (or maybe just an excuse cuz i don't want to admit i suck)

i guess with time it will move you where you belong to, i mean i had to play white-ra AND demuslim in my 5 placement matches and therefore i'm stuck in bronze now..... but i guess i'll move up to gold pretty fast again

ya I did my placements at 11 PM PST last night, was pretty tough, went 4 - 1 though and got put in Plat div 7, the "4 - 1" plat division
