Oh god, how on earth do I get HL2:e1 to work?

Foucault Sweden2826 Posts March 21 2010 19:00 GMT #1 This is ridiculous. I have been trying to get Half-life 2: episode one to work for 6 hours now. There are some serious graphic issues with that game. It complains about dx something when I am loading the game and finally my computer reboots itself when the game is about to start. Also the graphics are glitchy and weird. I have googled like a maniac and tried some different things but NOTHING works so far. I have Directx9, latest graphic card drivers and audio drivers. I got a Radeon HD 4350 grapics card. This is truly driving me insane. Does anyone know what to do about this?

jimminy_kriket Canada5525 Posts March 21 2010 20:02 GMT #9 Umm I believe it should be off and they are telling you to turn it on (it will use opengl instead of directx) Or if it is on, turn it off and try. I would recommend checking the temps of your video card,gpuz should work well. And you say you have the directx, but is it the latest?
