This is definitely one of the worst finals weeks I've had yet in my time at college.
I took four upper division classes this quarter: two in philosophy, one in creative writing and one in Japanese film. Sadly, those last two really didn't turn out to be the pushover classes their discipline implies.
God was merciful, and I have no exams to take, however, instead I have four fucking essays to write.
Due Monday...I have to write a 5-10pg paper critically examining the way jealousy is employed in changing characters and moving plot in Candide, Zamyatin's We, and the Marriage of Figaro. -_-
Due Wednesday...a 10-15pg critical paper on moral philosophy. The topic I developed defends the potentiality account for moral status against a case written by philosopher McMahan, which seeks to undermine potentiality as a sufficient condition for full moral status by trying to exploit a weakness that implies it relies on species membership.
Due Thursday...a 5-10pg critical analysis and discussion of Aristotle's ethics and friendship. I slept through the last two weeks of lecture, going only for the attendance. I have no idea what the fuck I'm going to write about ^^.
Due Friday...a 5-10pg critical analysis of themes from one of Miyazaki's films. I'm gonna write about Princess Mononoke...it's my favorite Miyazaki film, and I already have an idea of what I'm going to look at. This should be a rather fun essay, and will be fun to write ONCE I FUCKING GET TO IT.
5-10 pages isn't too long, but it's still fucking hard to write through when you didn't do the reading. It doesn't help that these are all critical essays too...bah.
Don't procrastinate, kids. Stress writing's for losers and abusers!

Now what kind of advice is this? Does dropping out of school solve anything?
Anyways, procrastination is pretty common. I'm doing it myself. In fact, I told myself I'd start studying a week ago, but I haven't started yet and I've got a final in about 26 hours.
Good luck to you, and just remember that once you get past it, it's smooth sailing for a couple months...until a new batch of finals.

2 semester long projects and a final in a few days.
Never try to start TWO semester long projects a week before they're due. Both are due on Tuesday, which sucks. Will try to not sleep till Tuesday midnight. The only problem is the final is at Wednesday noon and the only time I will have to study for it is starting Tuesday midnight. I wonder if I can go without sleep for a few days. FML.

I wanted to rant about how much stuff i have to study and how much i have procrastinated and missed classes but i will just say fuck Finals and Lolconomics.
Fuck finals and fuck double semesters with 12 classes.

So, so agreed! I would write an essay on that movie for fun, I have so much to say about it. The feminism in Miyazaki's films (considering Japanese culture) always impresses me.
Honestly, that number of essays seems pretty light to me + I have finals right after them. Just think of a clever thesis you'll enjoy proving, and start before night time and you'll be okay
