Random lag screens, but no lag in game.

Leg[end] United States241 Posts March 09 2010 00:16 GMT #1 Recently, I began getting random drop screens in games, but the games are otherwise lag free. The countdown always goes down to 37 and then the screen goes away. I can't figure out what is causing this because I can still host games and I never lag until the screen suddenly comes up every so often in games. Can anyone tell me what is causing this and/or how I might be able to fix it? Thanks.

Leg[end] United States241 Posts March 09 2010 00:39 GMT #3 Nope, ethernet cable straight into an internal modem. The connection is solid with the exception of the lag screens in games.

selboN United States2523 Posts March 09 2010 00:41 GMT #4 Tried switching ethernet cords? Had a friend run into a similar problem recently, turns out his ethernet cord had been damaged.
