Funny Story just happened.

So I was wondering whether I should ask all of you if you could sterilize sponges as far as it being kind of a shitty thread and all. So I ended up just trying to google it. So when I typed Disinfect into Google the auto fill came up with disinfect sponge microwave as like the fourth thing.

So now you all know I guess. only takes two minutes.

Make sure you dampen the sponge before you nuke it to avoid fire sponges. Alternatives include boiling it on the stove in a pot with a lid, or bleaching.

I reuse sponges alot at my store and I never new I could disinfect them in the microwave. That is baller, thats for the bad blog, it might have just saved me from getting some weird sponge infection ... ^^

I used to drop sponges in boiling water, has anyone tried this microwaving blasphemy and not had their sponge dry/screw up?

wait so when you microwave it, does it need to be soaking wet? Do you need soap on it at all? Should it be in a bowl of water? Or do you just put it in there dry?

PS- someone said this made their whole house/kitchen smell like dirty sponge afterwords.
