Wimbledon tickets?

I just came to the realization that this or the next year might be the last to watch Federer play tennis live.

So I'm now almost panicking as how to do it and I figured getting tickets to wimbledon would be the most probable way to watch him in a semifinal or even final.

I've browsed wimbledons website and can't really figure out how to get tickets. Can they be bought online and if they can, are there any tickets left for the finals?

Also how do other matches work besides the finals. I heard something about you get a field acces and then you can watch whatever match you would like on a particular day of the event.

I am willing to pay up to 200-300 dollars.

Well. I know he has proven every one wrong year after year about how long he can keep playing so well. But at some time it has to end, and I don't feel like gambling as it becomes more and more likely as each year goes by.

The next to years he should definetly be play high level tennis so I want to watch him live while I still can be certain about his performance.

I believe field access won't get you into the stadium for the finals/semifinals/anything past a certain round. Only for the earlier rounds/sitting outside watching it on the big screen. You have to buy separate tickets for the last couple of rounds, and they're expensive.

Personally, if I were to guess I would say that Fed would retire sometime during 2014. He has expressed an interest in playing through his 30s like Agassi, so I don't think we can count him gone anytime soon.

i don't think federer will drop off in production any time soon but he's certainly passing his absurdly high prime. he as you said already has the desire to continue on through his thirties and unless there are a bunch of breakout young stars in the next few years, the field is too weak to really compete with federer.

good luck on finding tickets OP. this is a once in a generation type of player that will be greatly missed once he calls it quits.
