Reinstalling Windows Question

WheelOfTime Canada331 Posts January 27 2010 23:59 GMT #1 I currently am running Vista (32bit)with 2 partitions, C and D with 50GB and 400GB respectively. I want to do a fresh reinstall with Windows 7 (64bit), is it okay if I only reformat the C partition on the hard drive without touching D? Would I be able to access the D partition as normal after I boot into window 7? Thanks in advance.

leetchaos United States395 Posts January 28 2010 00:04 GMT #2 Yes. There may be some permissions funkiness depending. But the data will be untouched on drive D (assuming no user error )

Ranix United States666 Posts January 28 2010 00:33 GMT #3 Just like he said above, yeep. Just wanted to make sure you knew that during the Win7 install you make sure you choose drive C when installing and not a whole HDD install!
