Last night was almost so so amazing! I had told my girl friend about the epica that is flash v jaedong, and becuase she really wanted to watch the games with me, decided that i should go over to her house. I arrived around 8pm and me and ginger decided to simply hang out for awhile. We chilled with her younger sisters, stopped by and played with the cats in the barn (one cat is considered to be mine, and i am told that when i move out of my house i can take the cat (Arazu) with me :D ) Cat Pic:+ Show Spoiler + , and finally played some N64 + mario kart.
I knew the night was getting good when i set a new record for the mario race way: 1'23'04!!!!!!!! Sweeet!!!!!! After whittling away more hours doing just about nothing, me and ginger decided to be a bit sassy- and fell asleep around 1am from exhaustion... We had set an alarm to wake us again at 3am and were prepared for the epic that is flash vs jaedong! However the MSL was a bit different than i had expected.
Needless to say, we still had a really good time. My GF had her first SC finals experience, and all was well when i left her house at 5:45am lol
Quickly, about the MSL
+ Show Spoiler +My simple opinion is this: Having any opinion is the wrong opinion. In short this is a huge travesty to the players. BOTH players were wronged in the quagmire that is kepa / MBC bureaucracy. There was no right way to rectify the situation. Frankly it should not have happened in the first place. The only thing that i would have done differently (if i were in jaedong's shoes) would be to start game 4 and gg. The only reason why i would say this would be this: Jaedong doesn't need the need the money. Jaedong would have looked like the most mannered player, and i also think he would have sent a strong message to kespa. Both flash and jaedong should walk out of this final with heads held high. The players acted in such a mannar way. The players are the only thing that are keeping e-sports alive anymore. The rest has gone to the dogs. I am so disappointed with the finals.
In closing I give all the credit to BOTH players, and hope that some how they can come to grips with a situation that was so far out of their control. My only hope is that the bureaucracy that is e-sports can be radically shifted after this incident, and a more streamlined and sensible rule book can be created.

if JD ggs at the start of game 4 that would be crazy. but it would cause a whole new shitstorm, if flash wins game 5 no one will call his title legitimate

What the fuckers (that is kespa) should have done, but would never do, since they believe that north korea is awesome and dictatorship is the way to go, is to ask for the players opinion to see if they could work something out. Sport should ALWAYS be ruled by the players. Kespa is, essentially gorging themselves on the succes of Starcraft. That just unbareable to watch and is the only reason I hate korean starcraft. POWER TO THE PLAYERS!

+ Show Spoiler +wow JD gging at the start of game 4 would be amazing, but I can obviously see why people would be pissed if flash won game 5. Maybe if Flash were about to win, he could gg and quit first? Honestly though, I think the way it went was probably for the best; both players look honest and gracious with how it played out.

My hope is they invest in some UPS and a backup generator.
Its impossible for KeSPA (or anyone) to have made a decision that would have satisfied everyone.
Best you can do is decide quickly and get on with it, then try to avoid needing to make decisions in the future.

I am normally a dog person myself. But Arazu is something else! It is so pretty, and the best part is- super friendly. When ever i walk into the barn, that cat is always running up to and purring on your leg. It really adores people / attention lol. And i certainly don't mind giving it some good petting time ; )

there is no way jaedong should have gg'd in game 4.
you do not intentionally throw a match to make it "fair". the game has to have some integrity. jaedong was in a huge lead; they had a rule that allowed a judge's decision; they applied such rule. sucks that it took so long to sort out the debacle, but im sure mbc was pissed as well.
