Well since I'm pretty outraged over the whole thing I have to make a post.
This was the worst final ever actually and I hope/don't think MSL will/should get another sponsor anytime soon seeing how they so badly fucked this up.
There shud've been a regame and obviously we've seen that the only way to beat flash is to play meele mode:

Flash vs Jaedong + Kespa

There shouldn't have been a replay unless Flash only started with 2 scvs or some shit like that. Converting JD's almost win into a win is a small amount of unfair to Flash. Converting Flash's almost loss into a replay (ie even again) is a much larger amount of unfair to JD. Replays aren't somehow automatically fair by virtue of being a replay.

The game should decide the winner. Therefore replay is fair.

I agree with KwarK here. Its just a shitty situation in general to be put in, none of the options are great. The only comforting response is seeing a player choose the worse situation for themselves willingly and quickly before anyone has much time to argue about it (i.e. JD asking for a regame or Flash saying 'yeah i probably would have lost, lets gogo game4). Though with money and a title on the line, it isn't reasonable to expect either. For this reason, its better to point to the real heart of the issue. Even though Kespa is ridiculously slow to make decisions and are incompetent in a lot of ways, the real target here should be MBC for letting it get into the referee's decision in the first place.

It seems to me that a reasonable option would have been going on to the game on Fighting Spirit with a score of 1-1. Oh well.

Why not make it a draw, and if Jaedong was clearly in the lead: let him choose the next map out of the MSL pool? But, I agree making them replay that map would not be fair at all, they probably spent days preparing for a certain set of builds on it.. which they revealed over the course of the game.

Anyway, I'm happy for Jaedong, getting his 5th win and. Flash was humble as always, only 17 and he's doing all this. He knows that its just a game and he has the future to look forward to. If it wasn't for his dad, he could have probably gotten in game 4 an hour sooner and not been fed up with it as much to warrant him wanting to go home and watch some Hello Baby or whatever.

Sadly I can't put Power Outage on my FPL team..

but JD had an advantage in game 3. that wouldnt be fair to JD.

JD earned a winning position in game 3. That should count for something. Therefore replay is unfair.
