Today at Wemade vs Estro I saw how the players were checked with metal detectors before entering the cabin. I`ve never seen this before. I guess they are checking them for some devices, but I have no idea what exactly.
Does anybody know more about this?

It says so in the proleague rules:
Before the game, KeSPA Referees will carefully check every single player's Mouse, Mousepad, Keyboard, and clothing.

They are probably searching for things like USB sticks with hacks on them, or radio equipment to have someone give them tips and scouting information during the game.

Probably they're looking for radio type equipment so they don't cheat during the games. I think it's highly unnecessary in PL, but rather more necessary in airports around the world.

Gotta keep radio type equipment out to keep those airports fair.

Players and only the players who played the game are allowed to walk out with reps of the game. KeSPA hangs onto them, but they don't release them for years. I think the last set of official game reps we have atm are back from like 2007.

Progamer reps are very valuable commodities lol.

Ahah nice...

Yeah I wonder if they've ever caught anyone like that cheating in the past. It'd be a total shitstorm if they ever did.
