Postmarked means you mail it by 5 pm when Post Office closes. PO doesn't work on New Years Day though, so not an option. Hello, fellow procrastinator  Also, make sure to check the time zone of whatever you're doing. Like, the deadline might be Eastern Standard Time. | ||

Payments take a while to register, but when you wake up in the morning it should be registered fine. As long as you submit them before deadline, it's all good. (I hope) | ||

Applications cost 60-75 for me as an international applicant, but with the SAT stuff, and the number of colleges I'm applying to (I had an average number but my mom made me apply to 4 more). Time to work on those applications! | ||

For the schools that require payment before turning in the app, just select the check option for payment, and then it will be counted as paid. | ||

It's not too bad though, I think colleges recognize that there are these sorts of problems with the commonapp, and won't immediately reject an app that's been submitted an hour or so after the deadline. Of course, it won't look good either. But I've heard of many people who've been accepted even though their app was late. | ||
