so he's saying being one of the "6 dragons" is like a title at the top that you can be given and have taken away

No, the 6 dragons are the 6 dragons. It's not a term that means "best six Protoss players right now." Why would they choose the number six if it was best X Protoss right now? ;;

In terms of game play evolution, there are always "generations" that come about as people who used to be amatuers once upon a time rise up in skill and come up with strategies and play styles and mechanics that the older players have trouble matching. In Protoss, the evolution in the post LYH era (aka, in the time since Boxer was bonjwa) can be thought of in terms of 3 generations:

The old kings: Reach, Ra, Kingdom (in fact Kingdom was also from the previous generation, but he retired, then returned to progaming and broke out even stronger)

The new kings: Anytime, Pusan, Stork (yes, Stork truly belongs here seeing as how 2005 was his break out year)

The six dragons: Bisu, Stork (again -- this was the era in which Stork defined himself not just as a player with massive potential, but a true great), Free, Jangbi, Kal, Best.

As you see, sometimes players can be thought of in either of two groups (like Stork and Kingdom). When Kingdom was a progamer the first time, his achievements were vastly overshadowed by the likes of Giyom, Garimto and IntoTheRain. It wasn't until the second time that he proved himself to be a monstrous opponent, winning OSL. And with Stork, back when he first broke onto the scene, he was known for his inability to beat good Zergs. Just look at his 2-6 record against Chojja (and what that record doesn't show is how completely lopsided those games were) or his 3-11 record against Savior. And in fact in the case of Stork vs Savior, two of those wins were on Requiem, Stork's best map ever. (Record on Requiem: 6-1, only loss vs Iris; Record on Neo Requiem: 15-5, losses to Yellow, July, Silver, Bisu, Backho, 16-6 record if you count MST games with an additional loss vs Canata -- the list of names Stork has lost to is one of the toughest lists any Protoss player could face considering that those losses were all when those respective opponents were in good form). Basically, the point is that Stork was overshadowed by his contemporaries Pusan and Anytime as well as old greats like Ra, Reach and Kingdom, who were all strong around 2005/2006. It wasn't until 2007 that Stork truly proved his greatness. In 2005/2006, I wouldn't rate him as a top 3 Protoss. Since 2007, Stork has consistently been the #2, behind only Bisu, who has the most achievements of any Protoss player in history.

Basically, the point of all this is that the 6 dragons represents a generation, not just a collection of six awesome Protoss players. Movie is in fact from a new, younger generation. Movie and Violet and either Stats or perhaps Pure represent a new hope for Protoss players in Starleague. But we'll see if they pan out like the previous generations or not.

<50% pvt is a dragon now?

Dragons had a lot to do with the protoss era of dominance, which seemed somewhat map induced. Right now he's a good, but not elite protoss player. It would be more accurate to switch the term over to zerg, there are players playing at that level.

Movie is crazy good now. Its nice to see that CJ has a lot of faith in him and lot him play.

He definitely deserves to be called a dragon.

If he takes down Shine in the semis, I think he can give Flash a run for his money in the Finals. Movie Fighting!

If he can succeed where stork and bisu failed it would be a miracle.

If there's anything that we can all agree on, I think it's that Movie needs a new liquibet picture.
