The reason why my parents are being such assholes about this is probably because of my grades recently. I'm taking two math classes, and I'm failing one. The other I'm probably running like a low C. You know how Asian parents are... they are like "how can you be so bad at math?" I just can't understand standard deviation though. I did okay in calculus but statistics is raping me because I don't find it as interesting. Can you guys help me with this assignment? I probably could figure it out if I focused 100% but I'm so pissed off now that I can't even concentrate. My homework is due Friday at noon and has the following questions: 1) Compute the standard deviation of the following set of data <excluded> 2) How many entries are located at least two standard deviations away from the mean? 3) If an entry is selected at random, what are the odds of it being within one standard deviation of the mean? I can't even skip 1 to try 2 and 3 since you need to know how to calculate standard deviation in order to do the later parts. There are a few more questions but I won't bother pasting them unless you can explain to me how I should do 1-3. Any help would be appreciated.
I haven't blogged in a while so I'm going to ask for help with a completely unrelated issue. I'm in desperate need of girl help. I don't currently have a girlfriend and there's this really cute Korean girl in my class. She usually sits alone and I always sit directly behind her (it's a big lecture hall by the way) but I don't think she's noticed yet. I'm not sure how to approach her. What should I do?
To make matters worse I'm having trouble with my computer. It's going really slowly and I think it needs more ram. I don't want to have to open up my computer to install/replace any physical parts. Isn't there an easy way around this? I remember people saying you don't have to buy RAM but I don't remember what the solution was. My computer is actually getting pretty old though so maybe it's time for me to get a new computer. You guys know a lot more about computers so here's what I want you to do: build me one. Tell me what parts to get, how much they will cost, etc. My budget is about 450 dollars and it needs to be able to run all of my software.
I actually have some good news though. I played a bunch of ladder games during the TSL2 on ICCUP. At first my rating was going down because I kept losing to cheese and other stupid bullshit but by the time I reached about 400 points I figured out how to put those noobs in their place and I started winning some of them. I leveled off at about 550 points with a winning percentage greater than 50%. I am really proud of my pvz because I managed to win 3 out of 9 games even though it's the most imbalanced matchup by far in broodwars. I mean wtf? There's about 500 things zerg can choose to do at any moment and I'm forced to forge cannon cannon nexus into zealot archon +1 rush every single time. It's the stupidest shit. I'm also pissed off at terrans. I swear they are the most bm pieces of shit. Like half of them would refuse to 'gg' when I won or would 'gg' before me if they were winning. One of them said to me "Du är en bög" but I don't speak any Korean... what does that mean?
Before my car died I was driving to the gas station the other day and someone cut me off while I was on an icy patch and I almost crashed into a brick wall. Only in America...
One other thing I'm hoping you guys can help me with... I have to write an essay for admission into a program, and I want feedback on my idea. The prompt is for us to write about a chance meeting I had with a person unexpectedly and how it changed my view of the world. I'm thinking of talking about how I learned to put others ahead of myself from my mom. Is this a good idea?

PS Isn't the tl layout pretty dated? It's in need of a major overhaul. Not only is it ugly but it just CRIES 2002. Get with the times. Also, when the hell will Blizzard come out with SC2? I'm getting old here!
PPS For my social studies course I need to define some key terms but I don't know the answers. Since many of you have been through this before you probably already know it so it's much easier for you to tell me than for me to find the bolded word in the textbook. Care to help? The words are democracy, republic, communism, and monopoly.
