The last four pages of the CPL thread are hilarious! True 9 hatch is a bit cheesy, but it is by no means invincible and Aware even used the build that is MOST effective at stopping it and still lost.

Oh and I just watched replay of both my games
Holgerius scouted my SLOW lurker drop and still got owned by it.
and Aware-- saw mass speedlings leaving my nat. His response was make 4 lings and put down spire.

Wow, just read the CPL threads, and funny how so many ppl have the wrong idea about "improvement".
I mean, maybe it's just me, but I thought 1st step towards improvement was to learn to do 1 BO really well (cheese or not), AND learn to counter all kinds of cheese.
How can they complain when they lost because they failed to do both, and say it wasn't fair? :/

Do not misunderstand me; I have never said it ''wasn't fair''.

Cheese is just as legitimate as any other strategy, and it was indeed my own fault that I lost that game (Xenocide did of course execute his strat quite nicely (good preparation, yo!), but the game went the way it did mostly due to my retardation).

All I have said is that I don't really think that extensively preparing all-in builds that would only work once is a great way of becoming a good SC player.
