pseudo-love meaning having the urge to kiss someone, touch, huge, thinking he/she's 'the one', etcetera. you see, the latter often makes you look at someone as if you've got pink goggles on 24/7, true love comes when you accept and understand a person for who he/she is and you dont care about flaws and such but still want to be with this person no matter what

On topic, although I agree with Xeofreestyler, I would not say that true love means not caring about a person`s flaws. I don`t think flaws are necessarily something you can "not care" about. What I would say is that true love means that no matter how bad their flaws might be, you understand that they are a part of their very being and you still accept them as such. People will probably say that is the same as not caring about their flaws, but I do not view it that way. It`s more like the willingness to accept rather then forget their flaws.

EDIT: My adolescent hormones tell me that love is when you find someone that you enjoy being around, and like them, despite, if not for, any negative qualities. Also I guess sacrificing some things for them is important, since otherwise, it's basically like a piece of art... And that's not the type of love you're referring to, I guess.

Imagine you get in this bath. You've got this bath, and it's made of ebony, and it's conical. You pull the plug out, and it all just twirls away, twirls away out the plug hole. Then. You film it happening. You exit the bath, you find a machine to play the video, only you play the video backwards. That way everything just appears to spiral upwards out of the plughole and fill the bath. That's love.

I have very rarely met a woman who isn't a shallow husk of shit. A house is a common building, a place that can be utilized and visited, empty or furnished. You can feel comfortable there, you can relax and put your feet up. Maybe drift for a while. Everywhere you go, you can see houses. Some may look nicer than others, some may have a rather superb fireplace or an enchanting garden but nothing to keep you there. Nothing that makes you feel, this is "my" place and mine alone. That place is a home. It may have some creaky floorboards and sometimes things may break and will need to be fixed. So you fix them. Because you care about a home. Every time you add to it, every time something breaks and is mended... that house becomes a little more yours and you can feel happier in it. When you're tired; angry or frustrated, home is where you want to be because you'll feel safe, welcomed and able to sit without saying anything or let the walls take the weight of words from your shoulders. It can be the mansion, the castle, the streamlined penthouse with the skyline city views that you dreamed of owning when you were young or it can surprise you by being a quirky little building full of secrets or the cottage by a river next to fields that don't stop until the grass brushes the horizon. Whatever the building, a home is where your heart is happiest. And the underside to a home is that there's no insurance for sentiment, no guarantee of compensation for total loss should it occur. If you're left standing in the ruins with the knowledge that you'll be choking on those particular ashes for months or years to come, it can be a fucking bitter thing. But that's the risk when you invest in a home and why you should invest wisely. With regard to OP's comments on a person's past; someone's past and their present may affect who they are. Everyone travels and we stop off at other people on our journey. It's easy to talk to someone for a short length of time and feel a sense of similarity, something in common because you're in the same place at the same time and perhaps you're both there for the same reason but that doesn't necessarily mean you're going to be awesome travel friends for life. However, that doesn't mean you shouldn't risk a little to discover what chances and opportunities might be possible with someone. There's nothing to stop you checking out houses and renting for a while but be damn sure of where you want to live if you plan on building or buying permanently ![]()
