Been looking for one for forever, anyone have any suggestions?

I'm already on What.CD, but classical music isn't one of its strong areas :<

(or like, DC, forum, something anything :<)

Just buy the CDs? Classical music is actually worth spending money on, not like the junk we have today.

Had an account a few months back, disabled for inactivity. I saw mainly film soundtracks =\

@SonuvBob I swear I went there before and the forum kept timing out on m e. Except it seems to work now. Hmm, I'll check it out, thanks. Any idea on how active it is?

Maybe this will give me the incentive to sort my music finally...T_T

Libraries usually have pretty intense collections of classical music if you don't mind going on a trip.

I would use that classicalmusichub, but indexing and sorting 400GB doesn't sound fun.

Out of print, hard to find etc.

EDIT: Is there something in particular you're looking for, I might be able to upload it for you.

Yeah, it's down now and then. The site's not really used, but the hub's got pretty much everything you could ever want. Most folks just idle 24/7.

Guess I'll spend some time sorting some music then haha

@ Spinfusor nothing in particular, I just look around here and there and if something seems nice I snag it. I'll let you know if I think of something particular though, thanks

Buy CD's for sure. Try and look for big packs, like 16 cd's packs. After you've gone through a few hundred hours of classical music, buy another pack. It's so worth it.

I'm sure it can be worth buying some, as with most types of music, but this classical records can be expensive.

*ahem* Google: "[album name] blogspot" then you might find it.

I also recommend libraries just for random finds, but not for anything specific (I guess you could use their digital catalogs..)

And record companies are getting tighter and tighter. Quite a few CD are less that 50 minutes now (even less than 40) and they all want to charge me $30 AUD (~$27 USD currently).

Hmm, would there be any interest in some kind of classical recording of the week thing?

Actually, Spinfusor, do you happen to have a recording of Schubert's Winterreise performed by Alfred Brendel and Matthias Goerne?
