Finally hit C-! First time ever lol. 22-9 (iCC).
I actually hit C- 2 games ago, but then I failed miserably on Longinus. Spawning at 11, I proceeded to reverse the positions of the gateway and forge for my block, as I saw the sly zerg preparing a speedling runby. A group of probertos valianty moved into position and awaited the swarm, but then... they ran through the gap between the cliff and the gateway Elementary mistakes: 1 Me: 0
And yes, I only play PvZ for those who do not know, for PvZ is the sexiest matchup there is (TvZ is a close second, thus the 1 offraced TvZ ;D).
Cheers for TSL creating a longer iCC season, and thus more time to go for C!

Congrats. And you did it with the hard MU.

But motw included Longinus this week, so I had some help ;D

welcome to the C- club

I've been playing a lot of PvZ on longinus too, feels like a comfortable map for toss.

Now if only getting from there to B were as easy as learning C and then C++ eh?

Yea, that map feels really "safe". I don't ever feel like zerg is getting out of hand unless they go crazy hydra, which I'm just not good against in general. Of course, there are the mis micros and macros and failed timings that go with the rank, but really it's not as annoying as say, blue storm.

You could always go the C# route too.

Even though many people consider pvz to be tough, you should try to get from D to C- again doing all three matchups for a true C- experience.

If he enjoys that matchup most, then why not stick with that. Because he's considering reaching C- a victory. If he chooses to target ranks while only doing pvz then that's his prerogative, but I suggested he do it the 'true' way.

Your not really much of a c- if you only play one mu, honestly. I could probably reach c- with only zvt, because I play that 60% of the time and im fantastic at it. But that would be inflated, cause im really a d+ with massive flaws in my play, I just know how to cover it better in zvt.
Anyways, congrats, but seriously you should play the other mu's. You dont know what your missing.
|
Yeah, the paradox is that alltough playing one MU only is better for learning the game, C- is worth more if you play all mu.
|
Yea I know technically I should play all 3, but the other 2 matchups were never really any fun. My PvT is actually better than my PvZ ;x
|
so you just dont play people if they arent zerg?...
|
your first time hitting c- and you went 22-9? Did you get like good ratios at d+ then just stop or something?
