Can't find anything else that interests me in regards to what Robert A. Heinlein has written, though I I really haven't looked besides Wikipedia though I don't think he wrote anything similar to Starship Troopers.

If I read Xenocide now can I go back an read shadow later? (without most of it having been spoiled and whatnot) Basically is each series stand alone I guess is what I am trying to ask?

Yeah, they're stand alone. Chronologically it goes

Game/Shadow -> Shadow series -> Ender in Exile -> Speaker series.

New book coming out later too, Shadows in Flight. Ender in Exile left me slightly disappointed, hopefully Shadows in flight wraps up the Shadow series better.

"While powered armor is Starship Troopers' most famous legacy, its influence extends deep into contemporary warfare. Almost half a century after its publication, Starship Troopers is on the reading lists of the United States Army,[32] the United States Marine Corps,[33][34][dead link][35] and the United States Navy.[36] It is the only science fiction novel on the reading list at four of the five United States military academies. When Heinlein wrote Starship Troopers the United States military was a largely conscripted force, with conscripts serving two year hitches. Today the U.S. military has incorporated many ideas similar to Heinlein's concept of an all-volunteer, high-tech strike force. In addition, references to the book keep appearing in military culture. In 2002 a Marine general described the future of Marine Corps clothing and equipment as needing to emulate the Mobile Infantry."

Armor by John Steakley

Old Man’s Army by John Scalzi

Great list. Also the Honor Harrington series by David Weber. It's pretty predictable, but it's entertaining and epic nonetheless.

I'd add most stuff by Timothy Zahn, especially the Conquerors trilogy and the SW EU Thrawn books.

I have to second this. That book was awesome. The sequel... not so much.

Passage of Arms and the Dragon Never Sleeps by Glen Cook were enjoyable reads for me.

Basically the Enders series splits off into two mini series that take place thousands of years apart and millions of miles away from each other. Ender's story takes place in the distant future in space, while Bean's is on earth in the few years after the 1st book.

I believe Orson Scott Card himself recommended Armor by John Steakley in the introduction to one of the editions of Ender's Game.
