Would buying a new sound card completely fix this and my flash audio problem? I don't know if it matters but I have a Dell Inspiron 530S and the tower is a bit smaller than usual towers, does that mean the actual sound card hardware is smaller and so I can only use say, dell-approved sound cards that can fit inside the tower? | ||

(and no you don't need a specific one, just make sure you have a PCI slot open and eyeball the amount of space for a card.) PS- Pano, when did this start happening? How have you been viewing flash as an alternative? There is a FF plugin that I use to download videos from youtube, if you were to DL a video could you play it in VLC and get sound? | ||

Well VLC works fine and I imagine downloaded vids would work too. But after messing with my sound card drivers I now have zero sound throughout my entire computer. fwkje4fldf | ||

So I'm not really sure what exactly got my Flash audio working again. It probably was reinstalling the sound card for the 5th time (when I decided on a dell-suggested version rather than the latest realtek version), or it could've been one of the many random things I had been doing these past 2 days. Therefore, I'll just split the $20 between people who I think contributed most to helping my situation: Sky101, Equaoh, Shockeyy (For suggesting live support which led me to the on-system Dell Support Center that has recommended driver updates) | ||
