My free time has just been taken over by this game. I would highly reccomend it to anyone who liked Diablo 2 Singleplayer, you can find it on Steam and there is a free demo going on at the moment (800mb download).

Anyone else love/hate it?

Normally id be watching Samsung winning lots of pro league matches in the afternoon but...well...

I downloaded and I must say.. it really is a diablo clone, from character class to the inventory, items and most of all the music. It really reminded me of tristram music in town. The runic guys (ex-blizz north) must've thought: Let's make diablo again but cartoonly!

But the game was alright, definately worth 20 bucks though. Too bad no multiplayer.

Isn't it the same thing as Fate? Right down to the "feed your pet fishes to make him into a different kind of pet" mechanic? It was really fun, random dungeons and all, but should I bother getting it if I already have Fate?

I just downloaded the whole game, about to install now. I feel like a douche for downloading it, if it's good I'll defo buy it. I'll give you guys an update on what I think later

watched some of the character trailers

if it had multiplayer support, I looks like it could tide people over until D3 comes out

also, pretty sure this music is very similar to the music in the D2 Act 1 dungeons

I bought the game and it's pretty bad-ass. $20 is a definite steal for a game that is very similar to the Diablo series, and has over 30 hours of game play.

It's alright, but... it's almost one to one remake of Diablo 2. Ten years past, one could expect some evolution in gameplay, but it's absolutely the same. Besides that, the monsters and locations are very boring. Nothing like squealing fallen or bleeting goat-men.

Runic is also making a free-to-play MMO version of Torchlight, which they say will be released in 18 months. That's probably going to beat Diablo 3 to stores, but not by a long amount of time.
