So I want to go to a concert at Carnegie Hall, and according to their site, there is this "Rush Tickets" thing.

Public RUSH Tickets
On the day of concerts in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage, a limited number of Public RUSH Tickets are available at the Box Office for only $10. Located at 57th Street and Seventh Avenue, the Box Office opens at 11 AM Monday through Saturday and 12 PM Sunday.

Anyone ever did this? Are they available for -every- concert in Stern, and about how early do I have to show up?

(Too cheap/poor to just buy tickets for like $50 ahead of time xD)

I've been to symphony concerts around my area and they too have rush tickets, you can get them most of the time around here unless someone famous is being featured i.e. guest soloist or conductor.

But i'm not sure if it's the same for the NYP

I totally thought you were going to say you got tickets to see Rush perform at Carnegie Hall...):

I'm not sure if they're available for every concert, but I went 3 or 4 times last year. Just call them the day of to double check before heading down. I went 30-40 minutes before the shows I saw and had no trouble securing tickets, leaves just enough time to grab a quick bite around the area.

Haven't decided, buy if this RUSH thing works out I'll just go see whatever is interesting when I have time.
