[H]Headset Problem

Hi, recentely my USB headset stopped working on my computer.I was watching Proterg's stream and it was working fine until I closed firefox.. and since then it has not worked at all. Apparently my computer is recognizing it when I go to Hardware Device Manager, but the microphone nor the actual headphones are working.

My other headset with the audio/microphone jacks are working properly and being instantly recognized..
So far I've tried,
unplugging the headset/plugging it back in to the same USB slot
restarting
plugging it into a new usb slot and restarting
changing the sound manually on the headset

no luck, if anyone can help me fix the problem it would be greatly appreciated and maybe i can offer some sort of reward via paypal or something :D

Check the volume on the headset switch? I mean, I'm not saying you haven't done that or calling you stupid but it's easy to miss sometimes.

How old are they? Maybe it was just their time :X

Update your BIOS or reinstall the driver for it..?

eh , they're fairly old and i figured that might be the problem but when i used them on my fathers computer they worked perfectly :p.

i never installed drivers, i just plugged it in and it recognized it =P

A USB headset may have automatically installed the drivers when it was plugged in and recognized. You may want to check the manufacturer site for a driver update just in case.
