no, you don't need one, unless you are prone to doing stupid shit or aren't very responsible.

however, if you have a bad trip... having one will make it much much more bearable. and probably more pleasant for anyone else who is tripping.

Do not go through it with an insecure mindset. Give yourself 12 hours for the trip to climax and settle down. Depending on the crowd (sitter(s) and amount of people that are tripping), time (from 3pm + is best) and setting (stay inside for the first 2 hours once the trip starts, then enjoy some time outside) you should take into account that these will all contribute to unavoidable situations (good or bad trips).

You will feel a lot more body sensations off of shrooms than acid. Acid is more introspective in nature but skews perception and relativity so it is best to take much of the trip lightly. As for shrooms, sensitivity to touch and conversation will cause reverberation of the mind and soul (so having the correct mindset from the get-go is essential).

Have a good time. Three to four friends you are comfortable with (as far as loyalty goes) is a good barometer of potential outcomes. By loyalty and being comfortable goes, if you have a bad trip it wil allow you to be 'talked down' by your friends.

ONE IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER:

Bad trips only last as long as you want them to. So no worries.

op - cliffs, water towers and high ladders are great places to trip, make sure you get some fake wings, they will feel like the real thing after a while, when they do, don't hold back, just go for it and surrender to the experience..

ya do shrooms they are awesome. Id recommend nature because its just really cool on shrooms, urban areas can be depressing. Also bring Benzoes with you (anti-anxiety medicine) if you have a bad trip take 1-2 of those to help mellow out.

A lot of of it depends on whether or not you're in a "ready" state of mind for it-- bad trips result in very bad feelings. I know it sounds obvious, but I've heard of people doing shrooms while angry or something, and it apparently goes badly. Also, you really need someone who's been on shrooms to sit for you, and make sure you don't do stupid shit. Good luck!
