i suggest watching many soccer games it doesnt really matter which ones but study the game like you would a book see how a goalie reacts after he lets in 2 goals but is so pumped he doesnt let another one in all game.
Just take time and watch some games

His master's dissertation topic doesn't matter one iota for your course. What you should care about is how good of a teacher he is and how well you can understand him. Pick two courses you'd like, sign up for both and then drop the one with the worse teacher.

You don't know how the professor will be until you actually sit down in one of his classes and listen to him lecture.

Wtf. Just because you don't like soccer or know anything about it doesn't mean hes going to take points off our shit. Learn economics and dont worry so much if you make a B... ive made plenty of A's i didn't deserve and vice versa. Life inst fair.

So to get an A in a course, you need to know your prof's paper inside and out instead of studying for the actual course? Focus on the course, not the prof..

If you really want to get along well with a relatively new professor, give him a lot of feedback about his lectures (what's confusing or not), homework, and so on. He probably still figuring out what works, and you'll be more engaged.
