I live in Irvine, California, a mere 20 minutes drive from the hotel of the OSL finals party. I've been following the pro-scene since 2007, and have been on TL for almost as long (the post-count lies). However, being a 16 year old without a license, I have no mean of going there. It agonizes me to watch everyone on Chill's stream, as it feels so close and yet so far. I have never imagined being at an event with progamers and TL.net members but now that one is happening so close by, I can't go.
Basically, this blog is a frustration/vent/ramble and a oh pity me pity me attempt.

you could have probably taken buses, had a friend/family member drive you, or even shelled out a little cash to get a cab.

Goddamn, I think it's pretty much hopeless right now, and I'm too pissed off about it. My dad doesn't give a shit about the StarCraft community or whatever so all of the reasons I have fall apart.

I tried saying that I'll probably never get an opportunity like this again, and I really want to meet all of the people on the site/progamers, but they just say oh it's dangerous it's late and you won't get any sleep etc etc. And my dad doesn't give a shit what my hobbies are.

Well, this is really absurdly cliche, but I think there will be another OSL party at next year's Blizzcon, and I'll just have to sit tight. I'm pleasantly surprised at the amount of support you guys have given (especially Mani) and right now I'm just trying to weather my bout of nerd rage.
