I think skinny chicks are hot but i kinda preffer chicks who have some curve, as long as its not obese. Generally i hook up with chicks with some fat on em, and watch skinny porn :p. Also remember that female atractiveness is a fashion, dont think a person on thousand years ago would find Pamela Anderson hot (he might, but probably not as much as me). | ||

Most mammals live on 4 feet and and the female features which excites males are the ass and the groin. If you live on 4 feet, the female's ass and groin are in the height of your head (more or less). When in evolution, the human race started to stand on 2 feet, and the previously mentioned sexual features of females went out of sight, simply they wasn't in eye height. That's why breasts are somewhat similar to the cheeks of ass.. strange isn't it | ||

The reason why Reubens painted so many chubby girls, is because having more body weight than is needed implied that the person was rich, thus successful, thus should have appealing qualities. That doesn't mean that the said "wow, that women is ugly, but she must be intelligent." Being fat was perceived as being attractive, because it implied all these things. Many African cultures today still find overweight women more attractive. Women who are skinny are looked down upon in these cultures. However, if you think about the attitudes we hold towards overweight people in first world countries, then it's easy to see where our predilection for skinny women comes from. Overweight people are assumed to be lazy, slothful, unsuccessful people, while someone in peak physical condition is considered to be hardworking, dedicated, and generally successful. So in countries where most people aren't skinny due to starvation, and where everyone has the abillity to become obese, becoming obese is seen as indicative of a weak character, while maintaining a healthy weight is seen as a sign of success. | ||

When I speak with people from southern Italy or older people they tend to like more chubby girls (not at the point to be obese, but just what we would consider a bit overweight), while young people (35-) in northern Italy tend to like extremely skinny girls. Of course it's not a scientific study nor a survey but just by speaking to people I got the idea the only thing 99% of men can't like are anorexic girls and totally obese girls. That's probably because they require way too much assistance to live with, and don't resemble at all the "girl" concept men have in their minds. | ||

Native american/mexican peoples tended to have shorter stalkier builds with barrel chest which evolved from the mountain traveling/migrating they had to do. Black people are taller and have longer limbs so they could run from predators etc. So certain things like that may be more attractive based on race more than culture. Why is it that most asian guys like blonde white chicks and lots of white guys like asian chicks? Is it just another subliminal product of evolution? | ||

The question you ask is almost certainly not a subliminal product of evolution (atleast not in any direct sense). How does liking something you are never going to experience (evolution comes before airplane travel and television) increase the chances of your genes surviving? The fascination of white guys with asian girls, and vice versa, is probably psychological. White guys are used to white girls and as such, get accustomed to their attractiveness. Asian girls, however, are considerably rarer for white guys, so when they seen an attractive Asian girl, she's attractive in a fairly unique way for them. It might also have to do with being attracted to what is exotic, or any number of different psychological processes. Evolution has to do with some quality or process making it more likely that your genes will be carried forward. The specifics of this, for example, beauty, success, etc., are determined by culture though. | ||

This. Being overweight back when humans lived in cages meant bigger chance of survival. All of the stone venusses (veni?) found depicts obese women with big breasts and wide hips. What type of woman is preferred has changed over time and thusly must be culturally determined. During the barok period women were prefferred plump with small breasts - Yikes! | ||
