Chrome and TL - Problem on my end?

These days (as in the last 3-4 weeks), when I open Chrome and load up TL, the page loads, then freezes. I have to close it and re-open another to get it work properly. The second window works properly but takes a bit longer than normal to load (maybe 3 seconds instead of 1-2). Any subsequent windows load properly.

Was there any big changes to this website recently that might have caused this, or is it strictly a problem on my end, or with Chrome?

This problem only happens for me with the TL website.

do you use any extensions? if so try dis-abling them and then try

I am also experiencing this on chrome at work. AFAIK, this is a problem that cropped up with ads a bunch of months ago where specific ads would freeze TL (script issues or something).

I use firefox but for some reason, I can never load the front page.It just says the page I'm looking for could not be found. I can acces other pages but never the front anymore. It's so annoying

I'll contribute. I'm having this issue in both Chrome and Safari, on different machines. It's likely to do with certain ads, but it happens about 4-5 times out of 10 for me. Very frustrating.

Tried this. Disabled all plugins and extensions, but it didn't help.

I also have this since a few days. No idea why, i didn't (willingly) change anything.

I went ahead and got adblock and it fixed this problem for Chrome. Now the site loads perfectly every time. The problem is indeed some ads loading.

I'd love to support TL and not have to use adblock, but then I wouldn't be visiting this site at all.

Hey R1CH, I did the hosts edit like you suggested and I still seem to be having issues with the front page of TL like bronzeknee describes.

I put this line at the bottom of my hosts textfile, did I format improperly?

# 127.0.0.1 ds.serving-sys.com

EDIT: I want to note that after the fact that I'm still having this issue at times even after correctly editing the hosts file. It doesn't happen every time, I'd say one in every five TL pages it gets frozen and I have to go into task manager to close chrome. I enabled ad block again to check (I have TL white listed) just to confirm it was the ads and right now it looks like it is.

Yeah, That fix doesn't restore full order!
Sometimes it takes me twenty tries to open a working Teamliquid. I'm using chrome if that matters.
