We go on about 5 pages about the awsomeness of flak cannon. Then someone asks what to max first on veno, we rabble on the role of veno in the game. Then we can have clusterfucks where people try to proove ridiculous strategy, PA farming faster than AM with fully warded jungle. Gotta be honest, although I daresay the GD thread is fine most of the time, every now and then we get a 5-10 page clusterfuck of rubbish which really belongs on IRC. Even something like the 'PA farms faster than AM' discussion should get shut down within a page of it starting.

It is weird promoting the channel on top of the GD thread while all the admins are still in the old channel #tlnet-dota All of the OP's are staff on TL, with the exception being dead9(he owns the channel and we set it up together), and Firebolt(he joined first and helped bring people in). riptide is always in the channel and he is a admin on TL, and also OP in the channel(however he doesn't log in on IRC so he's never shown as OP). However, this is the place we set up so people can not get heavily moderated, and when things get crazy in the GD thread they can go here. The GD still gets crazy once in a while, but the irc helps helps most of the time. Now with that being said, if someone is a plain dick, or says something racist, sexist, homophobic, etc, I won't hesitate to ban, but in general it's just a loose discussion where people can be themselves. Also, most of the admins just don't want to join the channel, or don't know about it. The only reason they were in tlnet-dota is because they helped run the ih league, but this is a different type of channel.

The past few days GD has been better but honestly there were quite a few days where its just full of shit(drawings?), the GD discussion already has a fairly lenient stance on it honestly. I really hope we don't need to resort to banning certain topics like the LoL section does(lol gp10,tribunal etc). And man, some of you guys are way to sensitive, criticism can be worded many ways. The way you frame something will have influence on how it is recieved and understood.

Why don't you tell him to be more active instead of feeding all the time with kunka.

Why don't you tell him to be more active instead of feeding all the time with kunka. Yes, he is red staff, so he has moderation powers. This doesn't mean he has to mod though, not all red's want to, but we will probably bring it up to him. I think he mods a bit in the BW forums, so I'm sure he would help here. Also, no offence to 2pac-, we are bestest TL friends, but he is nowhere near the best DotA player in staff ![]()

My point stays, I rather have mods that visit the dota forums reguarly and have a connection to the people posting and don't come in close down a few topics and then leave.
