dronebabo has another point that has been ignored. even if we can accurately judge who "deserves" access to the vods, we are still creating an incentive for people to gain access to them, which could mean bribing people to become a part of our community when they really dont want to or really shouldnt

Since the new VOD policy is up, many people are just posting to get access to the VODs. I realize that you are also thinking about including other criterias, whether or not people are allowed to dl VODs, but couldn't you just completely erase the post count criteria? I hate threads with 8 pages and 7 of them are full of one liners for people to get their post count up T_T

what you should do about VODs is, decide on a high number of posts that makes it so that a person is considered a good community member, and let anyone past that number dl them. however if anyone is spamming like the guy quoted in the beginning of the thread, ban him immediately, setting a precedent for future spammers desiring VODs. yanno?

so the only way you can dl VODs is to contribute said number of posts, and have them be quality, not just posts to bump your count up.

Well some one liners I think are worth it... I don't know, maybe if we saw something like

"Don't Zealot rush, Terran Vulture/Tank micro defeats it and puts you at a bad position economically"

That would be good, in my opinion, concise, informative, and doesn't waste time
