So now that signups are over, hopefully more people are willing to explain their teams. Why are YOU going to win it all this season?

Here's the quick rundown for me:

The big three triple-play:

(8) (T)Flash
(3) (Z)Luxury
(0) KTF

KTF is a massive steal at zero points. They had a poor run the last round, but form is temporary, talent is permanent. (T)Flash is the best Terran in the world, (Z)Luxury is the second best zerg in the world. For just 3 points I cant see how anyone could not pick (Z)Luxury. (T)Flash is dirt cheap at 8 as well.

The Samsung double-play:

(7) (P)JangBi
(6) (P)Stork

I wasnt sure about (P)Stork at first, I really wanted to fit him into the team but couldnt justify the 6 points. Then I saw he's starting out against ACE and he became an insta-buy. He's been having a poor run of form lately, but like (Z)Luxury I'm confident its just temporary. I picked (P)JangBi because he is the best Protoss right now and good value at 7 points. With the 2 best players in possibly the best team, it can only end in success.

The Stars double-play:

(5) (P)free
(1) (P)GuemChi

(P)free is the best player on Stars, and chances are high he's going to be scoring a lot of points from breaking streaks, and of course having streaks of his own. (P)GuemChi is hopefully the player who's going to get me to the top of the rankings since only 30 players have him on their team. He's going first in both games this week and only costs 1 point? How can I say no.

Players I had on my team at some points:
(4) (Z)Calm
(2) (P)Horang2
(1) (Z)by.hero

Too many have picked (P)Horang2 and (Z)by.hero for them to be a good choice I think. Even if I pick them and they do great - they're on 2-300 other teams and I'm no closer to nr 1! (Z)Calm is the player I'd have liked to fit into my team the most, so hopefully he plays horribly and I wont regret it.

Biggest sucker pick:

(12) (T)Leta - Just because he had an insane run last round and got to play in like a million ace matches, doesnt mean he's worth your first-born.

Effort + Skyhigh + Savior + CJ Entus because I am a CJ fan!

Anytime + Luxury + Stork because I think they will get me a good number of points for what they're worth.

I had Calm last round and he was definitely not worth it, so I didn't even think about choosing him this round. And how can anyone even afford Leta on their team?

(Z)(Z)July (Captain)
(P)(P)JangBi
(T)(T)firebathero
(T)(T)UpMagiC
(T)(T)Iris
(P)(P)DaezanG

Team is Samsung.

I kinda wanted to have snipers team, or at least close to it.I swapped Stork with FBH at the last moment, mostly due to Stork's recent performances... looks like it was bad move, considering FBH's game against Luxury's today and Stork being 1st in the lineup versus ACE.

(8) (T)(T)Flash (Captain)
(7) (P)(P)JangBi
(2) (Z)(Z)sAviOr
(4) (Z)(Z)ZerO
(3) (P)(P)Pure
(1) (P)(P)Tazza

I chose FlaSh, simply because he's an excellent player. He's bound to get a lot of points in breaking streaks, as he's perfectly capable of shutting down BeSt/Bisu/Jaedong/Jangbi/Stork/EffOrt after they are streaking wins. He is captain because I feel he will be the most solid player.

JangBi has had very solid results, and went on a 2 game win streak v.s KTF just recently. Hopefully he can do even better in the future.

sAviOr has showed strong play in the MSL, and streaks of his former play in PL just recently. I have faith in sAviOr, if he ends up not doing well perhaps he can be traded.

ZerO is great, especially on a team like Stars where there isn't too many strong players. As one of the strongest players for Woongjin I imagine he'll be played quite a bit.

Pure is what happens when Mind loses. If it turns out he doesn't do so well, I may trade him.

Tazza is just one of the many promising 1 pointers. I chose him because I feel he is the best of all of them, and because I wanted an OGN player.

I chose SKT1, because I suspect they will do better than any other team in this format and will return lots of points.

I decided not to choose more than 1 player from the same team, because they're less likely to be played. Intrigue for instance has BeSt, Bisu, and Iloveoov. What is the likelihood that they will score points all in the same SKT1 game? BeSt will go streaking, Bisu will go streaking, or Iloveoov will get dominated by other players. One advantage he has here is 2 good players and 3 points for every SKT1 win, but I don't think the SKT1 fest is going to be at all beneficial in this format. The other advantage is that BeSt and Bisu are all very likely to come out during an SKT1 game and streak break. They're both power hitters, as well as Stork. The choice of Stork is one I'm slightly upset I didn't make however, since he's starting against ACE and will probably all-kill.

KTF

My goal was to get as many players with All-Kill potential, then try to scrape by with the the left-overs. Flash, JD, and Effort are all their teams ace players and none of them have an exceedingly bad MU. Luxury was a huge steal at 3, and KTF as well at 0. Horang2 is the best P on his team, and pretty cheap.

And Daezang was just the best 0 pt player imo.

SKT1 - Because I thought either Bisu or BeSt would do a lot of all-kills. Then I thought that SKT would give some other people like BoxeR a chance first, so B&B wouldn't actually do that many all-kills. Either way, SKT is prone to make some good performances with their beastly aces.

Flash - Well, all-kill potential.

JangBi - No weak matchup, and probably the strongest pillar of Khan. I first had Stork instead of him, but Stork, imho, isn't capable of all-kills with his random dropping of games.

Calm - I think he'll be the starter man for STX, so I hoped for him to have many many streaks. I had ZerO instead of him, but then thought that ZerO's stability was questionable.

NaDa - Well, why shouldn't I pick my fave player? I think WeMade will give him a lot of chances to play, as he's got some experience with the format and can, on any good day, beat everyone. And his recent games were promising.

sAviOr - yeah I jumped onto the bandwagon. He was by far the best 2 pointer though, and I couldn't convince myself to Horang2

Guemchi - I've seen him on the starter lineups and immediately picked him up. One point, not bad, and back in the time when he broke out, he looked pretty good.

What I regret now: Luxury. I had him on my team until the last day... I thought he wouldn't get to play that much because FlaSh would all-kill every time. But, it might be the other way around...
Other picks I had: Hwasin, UpMagiC, YellOw (both real and fake), and ZerO. The only one I might regret is Hwasin, cause he's a really good REDRED sniper. Plus, he's on a streak lately.

Anyway, given what I've seen from Lux today, I think my team is doomed already...

I don't understand your logic with Horang2. You say he's on too many teams, yet you have flash/lux/ktf which are all on 200+ teams.

Just because a player is on a ton of teams isn't a reason to stay away from him. I understand that you might think it wouldn't matter because if they score you a ton of points, they'll be doing the same for 200+ others. But it's better to rise along with 200 others than to get passed up by those same people because you picked a worse player.

(7) (Z)EffOrt (captain) - has showed exemplary ZvZ and ZvP of late, his ZvT isn't far behind and he's a       threat to all but the best TvZ players. Has shown the potential to put up some prodigious numbers       this round, and is fairly inexpensive.
(6) (T)Sea - one of the best all around players (solid vP, vT, and vZ).
(6) (T)fOrGG - Jaedong's schedule is about to get real busy very soon with Starleague play. I think       fOrGG will be ready to step up.
(3) (P)Anytime - ACE is using him as the player they send out when they want to stop a streak, and       he also has the chance of winning a few games in a row. He's not going to get that extra point for       team wins, but he's gonna get a great amount of opportunities compared to other players at his       price. Overall Anytime is just a solid value pick imo.
(2) (T)Iris - proficient in each matchup, plays a good amount, and has a decent chance of going on a       few streaks.
(2) (P)Horang2 - seems to have the most potential out of all the players worth 2 points. The X-Factor       on the team.

(4) CJ Entus - don't like having to root against CJ because of stuff like Liquibet/Fantasy, so that's why I       autovote in Liquibet and picked them in Fantasy WL.

I am going to win because I have the best player of each race.

(T)Flash - Hes the best Terran and fully able to perform allkills. Good in every MU.
(Z)Jaedong - Hes the best Zerg and fully able to perform allkills. Good in every MU.
(P)Bisu - Hes the best Protoss and fully able to perform allkills. Good in every MU.
(Z)HoeJJa . Always liked him, and expecting good things from him in the future. ACE MU - ZvT
(P)Shuttle - Always liked him, and expecting good things from him in the future. ACE MU - PvP
(P)han - Always liked him, and expecting good things from him in the future. ACE MU - PvZ
KTF - My favorite team, will be able to perform better with (T)Flash and/or (Z)Luxury performing allkills, and the price is suitable.
Live2Win is awesome. Happy new year scarabi!

Well what I meant is that Horang2 is a gamble. Most likely he wont get to play and wont score any points. When 200-300 people are taking that same gamble its not as appealing. Flash/lux I know will play every match, and do it well.

Its obviously not easy to find a player who is good value and also is not a popular choice among everyone else.

Luxury & KTF -> small price strong potential as said before.

Anytime -> hoping he'll play every ACE match and I'm sure he can squeeze a few wins (like today)

Bisu -> Strong in all 3 match-ups and all kill potential. He is also out of OSL and MSL which gives him time to prepare for Proleague

Hwasin -> strong sniper potential (vs Z or vs T)

Free -> Hoping he'll get sent out alot for the stars

Stork -> Was missing a point for Jangbi and I really like Stork anyways

Currently 6th of the competition, hope the future will be as good ^^

I chose Pure for the same reason. I thought he would be the least picked of all the 3 pointers, but having seen his play in the 2008 Proleague, he has ridiculous potential. If he is played a bit more, he can do really well. We'll see.

(P)Anytime - Always plays @ ACE team, so I hope he'll rape some chobos
(Z)Luxury - Just cus I love him and just got 11 points hahaha
(T)Flash - You know why
BeSt - I really really hope it was worth to change (P)Bisu with Best. Hope he's gonna rape this season.
(T)BoxeR - Autovote, and for 1 point pretty cheap, maybe he'll win some games with cheese or so.
(Z)sAviOr - It's 2009! And for 2 points fucking cheap too.

CJ Entus - Because I Love this team, just like (Z)sAviOr

(6) (P)Stork: figured hes more solid than jangbi
(2) (T)iloveoov: favourite progamer, played vs ACE and i knew he'd get some wins
(8) (T)Flash (Captain): solid good in all MUs
(2) (Z)sAviOr: will destroy everyone in 2009, cheap
(9) (P)Bisu: best protoss player in the world
(3) (Z)Luxury: cheap, solid player that would get some games

(0) KTF MagicNs: decent pick for 0 points...

Team name: Fortress Europe
(6) (Z)July (Captain)
I love him, he is performing excellent lately, he has balls of steel.
(1) (Z)by.hero
There are always two, the master and the apprentice. No more, no less...
(3) (T)NaDa
He is a very solid player for only 3 points.
(1) (T)BoxeR
He's cheap and I like his style, let's see if he can show us some great games.
(9) (P)BeSt
Because he's the best and can kill anyone out there in a very brutal way.
(5) (P)Kal
Because I like to be surprised.

(5) SK Telecom T1
Because it's the best team around.

I tried to balance my team by having 2 players in each race. I also got some older players (July, NaDa, Boxer) who have a lot of experience in various leagues, can handle the stress well and are definitely capable of performing all-kills and snipes.
Time is precious. Waste it wisely.

KTF - they're decent. and at 0 points!? a much smarter choice than picking another team - save points for players as well, which have more potential for points.

Anytime - i love anytime. he'll mostly be the player racking in wins for ACE. and i do still believe he's capable of an all kill, or at least going 2-0 or 3-0.

Bisu - i love bisu. he's capable of so much more; and although i'm saddened he's out of both leagues, it means he's going to concentrate on PL. either way, he's going to be back

Free - i love free. he's a staple in Stars. when he's on, he plays with such creativity and intelligence, it's kind of scary. expecting him to perform well.

Now for the other 3!
EffOrt- he's a really good player, with so much capabilities. i'm counting on him to become the zerg to be feared in the PL.

Firebathero - TvZ and TvT only please! not expecting any all kill. just 2-0 or 3-0 although i'd reckon the opposing coaches would immediately send out a P lol.

Reach - uhh i used up all my 30 points. and everyone else sucked.
blind bisu free and anytime fanboy.

(10) (Z)Jaedong - cost less than Leta (I hate leta anyway) and he is very good, strong vs all 3 matchups
(6) (P)Stork - Samsung will almost always send him, again solid in all 3 MUs
(8) (T)Flash - same reason as above
(3) (Z)Luxury - KTF's zerg pretty much, he's pretty good
(1) (T)BoxeR (Captain) - just because he's Boxer, and because he's in SKT1 so he will get some points for team win
(2) (T)Iris - good CJ Terran

(0) KTF MagicNs - 0 points is a steal especially when you have Flash and Luxury. I have considered SKT1 and Samsung but I want more points for players
Least favorite progamers: Leta, Zero, Mind, Shine, free, really <-- newly added

Bisu (Captain) : I chose Kim Taek because he is the only player I can trust right now and he is the living bonjwa ;]

Flash : Flash is his team's only notable player + Show Spoiler +
Well , there is also Luxury but nm
He can achieve all-kill , he has that potential.Well , wait and see for me ...

Stork : He is slumping a little bit but he is still good in shape. He is still Khan's # 1.

sAviOr: I didn't choose him because of his words -_- I think he is still out there somewhere , I wait for him to return and play like godlike not against Bisu of course

Pusan: MBC's toss ace. Although he is not that good like old days but he can still win games and for the price he can be bought.

Iris : Well , I kinda feel stupid for this choice but nevermind if he gets the chance I hope he will play good. I wish I took oov instead of him -_-

KTF: There is nothing to say about it. There is a proverb in my culture that goes " Cheap vinegar is sweetier than honey " Well that's it I think SK would be a good choice but to satisfy Bisu - Flash - Stork trio I had to choose KTF. I'm not regretful though.

(Z)Jaedong
He is the best player to (P)Ever play this game.

(P)JangBi
Fakesteve thinks he's best in the world right now. Fakesteve is ALWAYS right.

(P)free
Woongjin's gonna abuse him. One of the 6 Dragons Acorns

(T)BoxeR
Fuck yeah.

(T)RuBy
He's a sniper. He'll win games.

(Z)by.hero
Lol dunno.
