I mean, when I joined TL back in like 04 or something it was a fun place, kinda just getting its start, not well-known in the SC community, because there were still bigger sites around at the time. Back then it was kinda cool, the strategy forum had strong contributors who made real attempts at strategizing, as opposed to just blindly copying build orders from VODs. Hell, FPVODs weren't even out back then. I remember Nada or oov or someone doing a 10 rax 12 rax FPVOD on LT that basically blew my mind.
Flash forward a couple of years. New mods, new forums, and a whole new focus. Now it's a fan site for fanboys, as opposed to a gaming site for gamers. Now, post count is the sole qualification of intelligence and SC skill. It always has been, I guess, but it's to the point where I get messages like this in my inbox:
"I am so good becos I used to have 2000+ post account. I can decide wat is gut for the f0rum. I so kewl."
But you don't anymore so cool it.
And then vGI-CoW randomly lashes out at me with this after a page or so of general agreement with the OP:
this sure is new and exciting
maybe you should learn to be a halfway decent poster before telling anyone else what to do on a forum
- personally, I think it just struck home.
So yeah, I guess this is it. It was fun for the third time, TL, but you guys have become a bunch of stuck-up elitists who think that pictures like this are pure gold:
